I love Thai food. Tom yum and Pad Thai are the most.

Siri, I have had chicken satay only in restaurants. I'm fascinated with the idea of making it myself. There are a lot of ingredients but you make it look so easy! I need to try it! I love your version because you showed that it's possible to make indoors. What's more, it looks beyond delicious! Thanks for sharing the super recipe!
@SpoonForkHeart9 жыл бұрын
+Juanelo1946 hello my friend. it much better home made. i love this dish and eat it out at Thai restaurants often, but honestly, it is hard to find a restaurant that will make everything traditional. They tend to use short cuts. I really hope you try this one, you will really notice the difference between home made and restaurant made :-)

I just made this marinade it's in the fridge for tomorrow. I can't wait. It smells delish. I thought I'd better make the sauce tomorrow or I'll probably end up drinking it tonight.

@SpoonForkHeart9 жыл бұрын
+tracey martin Great, this is a perfect party appetizer. And traditionally all three are served together and eaten together. I just had to break it into three separate videos of otherwise it would have been a 20 minute video. But the three of them combined actually make one dish :-)

That looks good! I have some lemongrass growing outside but it's even smaller than yours so I've never used any of it.
@SpoonForkHeart9 жыл бұрын
+TosTinMan EasyCooking I love cooking with lemongrass. If your lemongrass is in a pot it might stay small. Withing 6-months of moving my lemongrass from a pot to the ground, it more than tripled in size :-)
@TosTinManEasyCooking9 жыл бұрын
It's in the ground but it's a small space. Maybe I need to move it somewhere else.

@SpoonForkHeart9 жыл бұрын
+BillGoudy I like it much better using a real fire too, but last weekend it was windy here the wind blew a tree over in my back yard. All the space in the back yard and tree fell right on my bbq grill. But anyway, this recipe is great with other meats too, like pork, or perhaps even squirrel hahaha :-)

Will Galangal grow in AZ? I also live in AZ. I just rooted some Lemongrass and I want to plant in a container outside. For your Lemongrass, do u plant it in a container or in the ground? Does it do ok in the summer in AZ?
@SpoonForkHeart4 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried galangal yet, but I think it would grow. For my lemongrass, I have both in the ground and in large pots. They do good both ways, but the lemongrass in the ground grows much much larger.
