Like you said, many factors. Which tire wears is more how much a rider pushes that end of the bike in a turn. Go in lighter and come out harder the rear will get more to the edge, and vice-versa. Yeah hitting tire edges and foot peg feelers touch down (with not so soft suspension) a rider will easily be about 3x the posted limit or possibly more. Chicken strips is a poor phrase I agree, for many reasons.

I have an experience on chicken strips on motorcycle tire. My kawasaki w175 has big chicken strips, i admit i'm not brave enough in hillside asphalt road. But for some reason having wider tire is better for safety than factory (the factory tire size are 80/80 R17 and 90/80 R17). Now it has 100/80 r17 and 120/70 r17 Cuz i have a PTSD of my bad habit on old wrecked race track with my moped. I was too dumb that it had front stock tire then fell off to the right. I only had helmet back then.

Always ride your ride. If you get nervous or scared, then it isn't any fun. And that is what we are doing is having fun. Going to a bigger tire gives you a little more contact patch on the road. Which means more grip and stability. Be safe my friend.

Q3+?

On the CBR. I believe I had S22s on the CB or Continental Sport Attacks on the CB. I can't recall off hand.

@@LiterPlus should be s22 on the CB. I got q3+ for my r6 and love it. S22/s21 and sport attack was considered but preferred q3+ looking a bit more

@@SickMy_Duck The CB came with 21s. They wore out extremely quick. I put S22s on it next. Good tires but not a Q3+. I had heard that the Conti Sport attacks would surprise you with how good they are. So I put them on the CB next. And they did surprise me. Lasted longer, wore better and felt just as good as the S22. For half the price. I went through 3 sets of those before I sold the bike. Q3+ is one of my favorite tires on the street and all I ran on my CBR. Super Corsa V3s are also very awesome. They came on my new RSV4. We will see how long they last. .
