Your homepage says "Maximum OS: MACOS 10.15 and Windows 10". So i guess this is never gonna be updated? It's an amazing software, but it seems like hardly anyone can use it nowadays if it's not compatible.

is it possible to import samples through a usb to scsi wire? like if i dont have a cd drive, can i use a wire that connects between my mac directly to the scsi drive of my triton? thanks
@chickeneps4 жыл бұрын
No, but then your concept is highly overcomplicating the issue. Get a SCSI2SD and use a SD card to move the PCG/KSC/KMP/KSF files to/from your computer.

Does Creator import content in the Kronos. Example. I have User G 1-10 occupied with existing programs & samples. I want to start all my new programs on program #11 and onward. Not sure if this is the proper approach but basically want to append all my new stuff to an existing bank. Also, it's not shown here but I assume if there are mutliple velocity layers they can all be imported as well as part of the program. Thanks

Wish the Koronos worked better in this regard. This is what I would do: 1) Save a PCG that represents just USER-G, without the samples 2) Load that PCG in KGC 3) Do your additional work 3) Resave the PCG, which will add two KSC's and the KMP/KSF folder 4) Load the USER-G from that PCG into the Kronos, including the KSC.

This Chicken Systems Korg Creato can use for korg krome?
@chickeneps4 жыл бұрын
Not really. I think it reads KMP/KSF but KGC is overkill for that.

@@chickeneps PCG tools should support "most" korg synths dating back to the M1. But it has no support for working with the sample files. Its primarily designed for managing .pcg files and has support for the older synths that doesn't use the .pcg format via sys ex. dump. Great little free program for really many different Korg instruments that will save you tons of time collecting programs, combi's, drumsets, wave sequences, songs and setlists and arranging them

Can we convert any kontakt libraries to KRONOS/Korg samples ? For eg:LA scoring,Ilya efimov..... even the latest libraries? Is there any copy issues ? TIA 😊
@mrdali673 жыл бұрын
Like they say, you can only import free libraries or something you made yourself. You cannot load commercial libraries of ANY format, as all formats usually uses some kind of cryptation for commercial libraries and even they could propably easy get around this in some formats it would be an infridgement against the copy protection. So no, you cannot load those pirated kontakt libraries you can find on the net as they are normally not tampered with. And in the NI situation you can most likely only load NI libraries upto 3.x as NI keep their info on the file formats of later versions very secure. Many 3'rd party software is only able to support loading kontakt libraries up to ver 3.x. And you cannot make a non cryptated version, even you actually have an original version of Kontakt and the library. So your only option here is to resample it using the built in autosampler and redirect the output from Kontakt into Korg Creator, and this is the weak link in Chicken systems. Their autosampler is way to simple to make anything somewhat usefull automatic. You will have to either do full length samples or prepare to use quite some time editing loops as their sample program only creates basic loops that is about on par with what you find in a 80-90's hardware samplers ui's. There are better options out there for doing this, but even today its actually still a very lackluster part of audio software. You should think with todays machine learning tech it should be pretty simple to make a piece of software that is able to analyze a waveform and find a good loop point without clicks and just an acceptable soft sounding loop. I think they have a .vst engine in the newer versions of creator/autosampler, but I am not sure if it supports 64bit vst's and if its able to make a direct data copy (much faster than actually resampling the analog output) For just recording external sounds and vst's there is much cheaper software to get than this that can output an SF2 file wich can be loaded direct in eg. the Kronos, but the Creator from chicken systems is much better than what you get from Korg and on a level of software wich you would have expected Korg to provide "FREE" to their custommers of their top workstation. Its a disgrace how little interest Korg seems to have in supporting their custommers.

It isn't explicitly designed for it, but if the Krome supports loading KMP's and KSF's, then you can use it.

@@AT-eh2eo You could import a midi file in the T- series (from floppy) so pretty sure this should be possible in the Triton also. Doesn't it have a floppy drive ? just buy a floppy to usb emulator and ditch the old floppy drive. Its the way of modernicing many of those early 90's instruments that had floppy drives.
