Container gardening is so much easier. You have so much more control over the plants. If the weather turns bad you can bring them in to a safer place. If there is too much sun you can move them. I have to have a clean kitchen and living room every night. It makes the next morning so much nicer. Prepping for the next day is so important for me. tfs 🥰🍀🌞💐💗✝🥰🍀🌞💐💗✝

To add to your planting potatoes. I have very little garden space for planting. And what I do have is taken up with other veg. A couple of years ago I bought 4 bags of soil and cut slits down the front side of each bag, and cut up my seed potatoes and planted them in the slits of each bag. I lean the bags up against the house so they didn’t tip over. The potatoes grew beautifully right in the bags of soil and were easy to water. I had a bumper crop that year and have been growing them like that ever since.

I’m retired and an empty nester, so there’s no little children in my home. But I make sure things are in order for the next day. And I’m a list maker as well. I also set alarms on my phone for every little thing I need to do, or I’d forget for sure!

Those chicken tacos look great and the banana chocolate chip bars will definitely be a must make recipe. The night before a work day I’m usually getting my husband and my lunch together, our clothes are put out for the next day, I have two dogs and a cat that I have nightly routines for, clean the kitchen and last but not least I read Bible scripture to prepare me for my day ahead. Always have the kitchen cleaned before bed, actually right after dinner, we just have a simple breakfast, Cherrios or oatmeal for hubby, me I never know what I'll eat, oatmeal, egg and sausage, left over pasta, left over sweet potato, but lately it's been cottage cheese. Nothing like your great breakfast, but were seniors, that's how we roll. lol

After dinner I clean up the kitchen, vac the kitchen floor, take trash out, Get my stuff together for dinner the next night, then at bedtime I go through the house and close all blinds and put my house to bed.(That’s what I call it! Those banana bars look amazing. I haven't had banana bread in forever. Every evening after dinner I do the dishes and I pack my husband's lunch for the next day. I get all our laundry caught up for the week. Check and make notes/write down what all I wanna make for dinner the week. Make sure my fur babies are taken care food water and the litter boxes are clean for the night. I make my grocery list for the week. Also make sure the garbage goes out on garbage nights

Hi Falon, Love your 5 nightly tips. I check the main floor of rooms before bed making sure they are cleaned and in place. The teapot is filled w water n put on stove top.. Same way…lol….laundry, kitchen, dining room, bathroom and the living room. I check the front door locks and lights. I’m a creature of habit. Your chicken tacos look yummy but the banana chocolate bars now that’s a great breakfast treat. With a cup of tea, I’m happy, lol! I’m excited to see the front deck finished. That’s some project. We are getting a new Dollar General about 3 miles away, right in our little town! The other new Dollar Generals in our area have begun carrying produce too! I have a few things also that I try to do every night. Put away the dishes, set the table for breakfast, cut fruit if needed and set out the clothes for my husband and myself for the next day. You can grow potatoes in a lot of different containers. Buckets, grow bags, wooden boxes. I grew potatoes in those cube bins from dollar tree one year. I'm upgrading this year to the rubber tubs from tractor supply. They are those colorful ones in the horse stuff. I believe around $12-15, depending on size.

I actually grow potatoes (russet, red and yukon gold) out of 5 gallon buckets, so far they are doing good! That way when we get a rain storm (last night) I can move them to safety.

A lot of our Dollar Generals around here are Dollar General markets! They're actually pretty good, the name brand stuff is pretty good. Not necessarily cheaper than the grocery store (well, def cheaper than Publix, Wholefoods etc!), but it's super handy if you don't want to deal with store crowds and just need a couple of household things and a food thing to pickup for dinner.

The bars look good, thinking peanut butter in it would be awesome. On potatoes, I seen them grow in a wheel barrel and a square plactice box. You put holes for drainage and rocks , charcoal in bottom just a little. Than a good soil mix. I saw carrots start in a bag of soil. I use pots on my porch. Usually a pepper or two. Than a couple tomatoes and a lot with variety of leaf lettuce. You can a few hours a day sit in Sun bring on porch when had enough. I even move when rains. You can grow in anything and anywhere. I have done it in lots of places.

Awesome video Falon. It's just me and my 10 yr. old Chihuahua so my nightly routine is pretty simple. I do the dishes, set whatever meat I'm going to make for supper out of the freezer and into the fridge. Then I take medications, phone, bottle of water and Taco ( that's my dog's name, it was his name when I got him, he had just turned two so I didn't change his name but I did add Bruno to it 😃) and we go to bed. Hello Falon, Hope ya'll are having a wonderful evening. We are doing well. It's been raining off & on all day here, plus it's turned cooler. I made a pot of vegetable & beef soup for supper. Now we are watching tv.The porch deck is comming along good.Our Dollar General has produce, it's like a mini grocery store. Sissy is so smart, I use to do embroidery when I was a little girl, it was so much fun.I made a lot of nice things,I learned to crochet when I got to be an adult. I food prep every Sunday and freeze the food. So the each night I take out whatever we are having for breakfast to defrost. Lay out our clothes. Make sure that my lunch is packed and my son's backpack is packed up. Charge his school laptop. Write a list of things I need to do before and after work. Most important set up my coffee maker

Some years back Walmart did an experiment and opened I believe over 100 stores in small towns called Walmart Express. They were modeled a lot like a Dollar General and were meant as competition to DG. It was maybe a little bigger than a DG but smaller than a regular grocery store. At least half the store was a grocery store and the other half was things like you would get at DG. The groceries and other things were just like at a regular Walmart and the prices were the same. They also had a pharmacy and gas station. After a year or so, Walmart decided to abandon this model and sold the stores to Dollar General. I live about 2.5 miles from one of these stores that Dollar General acquired. It is set up the same way pretty much and has the gas station with good prices on gas. It doesn’t have the pharmacy. Yes, it does have a produce aisle. Right after our Walmart Express became DG, Walmart built a Walmart Neighborhood Market about 6 miles away with a pharmacy and gas station. It is the size of a regular grocery store and has a few other type items. It has most every grocery item the big store has. I can get most all I need without going to the big store if I only need groceries, pharmacy items and miscellaneous things. Also, parking is much like a regular grocery store which is so nice. They also have grocery pick up and you can have things shipped online to pickup. I really love your channel and enjoy your videos. I live in Eastern NC about an hour from Raleigh.
