@@chidorim4st3r5 yeah no. a fucking gun is considered a great threat to new worlders such as the one used by red drop when in his mech suit. the author also makes a big deal about shelltear igniting the air as she moves as its beyond what you would see in the new world. this would put ainz as hypersonic via scaling which is fast but not anywhere close to lightning speed let alone light speed. hell your whole ranking of him is off by a giant amount given the best feat of strength hes ever shown topped out at a city district being destroyed. as such hes a city buster at best on his own while being a threat to a very weak country with his summons. overlord as a series is not very powerful, this is due to two factors; 1. its not a novel about fighting, it has combat but its more used as a plot device than part of the main story with is more about how the world itself interacts with ainz and co. 2. the new world is laughably weak. in terms of isekais the new world is well below even comedy worlds like konosuba in terms of the strength of its inhabitants which makes ainz look way stronger than he should be.

Considering that the Dragon Emperor distorted space time w wild magic and summoned the players from another dimension. The theory is that the DE wanted wci which would place wci effects on universal scale. Also according to the game Lore the World Eater final boss of the game was capable of eating reality itself. The Lore of the game became real which was seen on numerous instances so I would argue he is more on the universal scale w very small aoe . Ainz doesn't need to create a black hole to devour earth .All he needs is to take a rock and accelerate it at terminal velocity and boom, earth is destroyed. Yeah, the tree was planetary since it could destroy earth .

He is FAR from the weakest, he is stated to ONLY be outmatched by TouchMEe in 1v1 PvP, because of his insane tactical prowess and amazing planing skills. Rubedo sadly is SO insanly strong that no amount of planning from Ainz lets him have a chance. We have been told how Rubedo is by all means more powerful than a PERFECT Lvl 100 character, and it is speculated she is made with a special world item which Ainz Ool Gown has, allowing her to reach a level only bosses from Yggdrasil could reach, that or the Perfect Lvl 100 TouchMe WITH a lot of luck.

A fact I also want to add is that the “Ring Wish Upon A Star” cannot just undo the effects of a World Item but also Wild Magic. Suzuki Satoru/Ainz in the Evileye Bonus Novel tried to undo the magic that turned Keno/Evileye’s whole country into undead but was unable to. This shocked Ainz because he knew there was only one force he knew was capable of resisting a Super Tier Spell from the “Ring Wish Upon A Star”. However he wasn’t sure if he could conclude that what he felt was really a World Item resisting the Ring’s power to grant his wish. Years later he discovered the power of the Dragon Lords’ when he fought Brightness Dragon Lord, Wild Magic. He then surmised the power that turn Evileye’s county into undead was the result of Wild Magic when he found the one responsible for the spell, The Elder Coffin Dragon Lord.

Spoiler from the movie that is coming Demiurge can use a 10th tier meteor spell and he uses it to destroy the great wall of the Holy Kingdom. I don't remember exactly but I think it's said or implied that he can spam that spell if he wants to. So considering even one of the weaker top guys can level a city alone, Ainz probably can level a continent with a few spells.

@@saljpal3 light novel paints a pretty clear picture. Shaltear is the best duelist of the floor guardians, able to beat any of the others in single combat. Second is Mare, who has incredibly powerful magic but isn't a duelist. Then the three way tie between Albedo, Cocytus, and Sebas, each countering each other. The reason Shaltear isn't the strongest npc overall is because of Rubedo. A character hinted at to have been created with a world item and also uses another world item as a weapon. They would sweep the floor guardians easy, as they are literally designed to be Nazarick's ultimate defense on the 8th floor.

It has never been stated his dragonoid form even stands a chance against Shaltear. And yeah Gargantua is a wall of the highest stats, but with no items to equip, skills, or anything really, he is not in the running for strongest even with his stats.

But then, why was shalltear able to resurrect herself? Does this indicate that you just need a higher level of resurrection to survive true death (Amplified) or in other words, TGOALID skill can only make so that you can kill anyone by bypassing their resistances but it does not amplify the anti resurrection properties of True death?

Idk why I am replying to my own comment but I have one theory as to why Ainz didn’t use True death in conjunction with TGOALID against shalltear Because Ainz was cautious that resurrection of NPC’s might work differently in the new world. He wouldn’t want to risk killing shalltear permanently by using anti resurrection spells if there any restrictions to resurrecting high level NPC’s in this new world. But I do think it’s more so that true death isn’t applied by TGOALID, because in a game settings that wouldn’t work. There are plenty of resistances to instant death hax to make it fun for the player but in case you do wanna instantly kill your opponent, there is 12 second delay to TGOALID and it can only be used once every 100 hours. But I do think the author could alter these changes, maybe the laws in the new world work differently than the game of Yggdrasil. Anyway I love you Ainz debates, plz do more.

True Death is a 9th tier spell that resists lower tier resurrection spells. You would need either 10th tier to Super tier resurrection spell or a World Item that does resurrection. And in the New World, its safe to assume that nobody other than Ainz and his crew can cast 10th Tier or Super Tier. As for World Items? You can forget about that since not even Ainz Ooal Gown(the guild) had a Resurrection type World Item(from what we know), and they had the most in all of the game at 11 World Items in their hand. As for TGOALID, it's a buff skill that is applied to any instant death spell/skills. It doesn't really enhance the instant death effect other than making it so that nobody, not even those with immunities can resist the instant death effect of the buffed spell/skill. It's basically a buff that makes any instant death skill/spell, a delete button that can only be used every 100 hours. Another one of it's drawback is that it has a 12 seconds cast time, and if you played any fps or fast paced games, you'll know that doing nothing but casting a spell/skill for straight 12 seconds usually means death. It's a niche skill for such a niche build.

He himself also said that amongst the NPC, other than Pandora's Actor, Shalltear's information is the one he knows the most because he was close friends with Peroroncino who told him a lot about Shalltear.

After that ainz succeeded in killing shalltear with super tier magic fallen down. If the resurrection item was more than one use item then shalltear would have survived the ordeal. There is a high probability platinum dragon lord had some resurrection items at his disposal still ainz would have anticipated this considering ainz manages to kill shalltear twice in one fight on the fact shalltear is the strongest among guardians and had immense advantage against ainz that magic caster. Platinum dragon lord's level somewhere around 90 or more but below 100. Let's not forget ainz had super tier magic and not just fallen down and ian shub niggurath. Plus he had 700+ magic at his disposal. There is a world item in his belly he carries all the time which its function is still a mystery to this day

If i'm not wrong he has been around since the age of greed god or something which many people speculated that they are actually players from yggdrassil was sent before nazarick. Make sense considering the theocracy has access to the world items which are only available in yggdrassil. Basically nazarick is not the only guild transferred to the new world. May i add, some speculated that PDL is also a player beside ainz which makes sense since he knows about the concept of player. As the anime went so far there's a bit of information about PDL as to who he is. He could be a being from yggdrassil that was sent to the new world not just the players. For instance ,albedo was an npc before she was sent to the world. Maybe PDL was a guardian made by one of the players that was sent to the world. Sorry for my long post

The whole point of his build was absolute flexibility in his arsenal. He specializes in necromancy, clearly, but he has shown massive scale attack, highly focus attack magic, defensive magic, trapping/sealing magic, scrying magic, honestly his spell repertoire is ridiculous. He's cast a spell that's literally called 'Reality Slash'. And it seems to do exactly what the name implies.

Overlord powerscaling is conservative compared to other fantasy shows powerscaling. But in terms of dominance in their own respective universes, most of the time Ainz is the most dominant. He can literally summon multiple country destroying monsters on a daily basis. It was stated that death knights and other mid level summon undead creatures can and did in the past destroy countries. While Goku is probably one of the strongest character in all of anime but in his own show, more often than not he is dominated and destroyed by others. It's not just for shounens but even in other isekai. Rimuru and his lackeys might be strong but they don't have the same level of dominance shown by the forces of nazarick in their own universe. Also applicable to eminence of shadow and shadow garden. The point is Overlord compared to other animes are on the weaker side powerscaling wise and feat wise but if we look on the narrative and their story on how supposedly powerful they are, they will probably at top alongside other characters

The dragon I think u r refering to, is not platinum dragon lord(tsaindorcus vaison) but the elder coffin dragon lord(better known as cure elim los malvar), and it's a dragon lord that apears in the extra volume, that it's more of a what if than anything, in that volume, ainz is transported to the new world without nazarick, and 200 years before the current timeline, in the final parts of the volume (spoiler) he battles cure elim, which at the time was level 95, and it's a dragon that had the ability of both, using wild magic, and tier magic, and at the end of the volume ainz wins the fight, mostly because cure elim made a bunch of mistakes in the fight, and deliberately decided to try not to use tier magic as much as possible, but in the current Canon, cure elim is alive and I think it's confirmed by maruyama himself that he is currently level 100, so yeah, the dragon lord that could have defeated ainz even with a 5 level difference, is even stronger in the canon

Wish doesn’t work on world items and world items counter the effects of other world items. It was the mechanic that was originally in the game. And wild magic has similar effects to world items even though they are not world items. That’s where you get the argument that if something has a similar affect to world items then he can resist it

The sword of the Kingdom was made w wild magic and Ainz speculates if it could pierce a wci but the answer is that they probably don't grant the wci protection status that wci do.Ainz is currently testing the wild magic sword so we will get a real answer in volume 17 18 probably. The story so far is that the Dragon Emperor summoned players for their wci so if they could create items w wci status it makes summoning pointless so I would argue they items made w wild magic don't grant wci protection. Dragons themselves have protection against wci magic because of wild magic and vice versa.

Personally, I think Ainz is city level at most since he scales to Mare, who thought destroying cities was a difficult task (this was in volume 14). There's also a feat in volume 13 where he destroys a city distract with a 9th tier spell called [Nuclear Blast], which has been calced to be small town level.

Time stop wouldn’t work because their outfitted to resist time stop. Ainz says himself that you be stupid to not have a counter to time manipulation. So all the higher levels have an item or skill to resist it. It doesn’t mean it wouldn’t work on someone stronger, they just have to have some form of resistance via an item like Ainz

I have to doubt the light speed feats, as an object moving at the speed of light would ignite the planet’s atmosphere and destroy the world. Gazef being able to use a technique that can access light speed would be the Martial Art equivalent to a Super Tier spell. Yea sadly. A hypothetical Uni+ infinite speed Ainz would still be weaker than light novel rimuru. Ainz definitely takes out a large chunk of Rimurus. But later in the novels he has low multi-multi+ scaling and at that point a high balled Ainz gets slapped. He likely takes out everything before demon lord Rimuru but I haven’t read the novels for slime so I wouldn’t know much. Because I know shortly after he becomes a demon lord there’s a lot of multi continental to planet scaling. But I guess a universal AP Ainz is plausible when using later novels explanations of world items
