This song came to mind today 05/Mar 2024. Had to look for it and it is inspiring to me. Apart from Edumare, I don’t know anything else being said but it resonates at this point with my spirit and is blessing me indeed. 🎉🎉🎉

Basically translates to God has made my affairs joyful, I give thanks, hallelujah. God has made my affairs joyful, I've come to give thanks, hallelujah. Misfortune isn't mine, I give thanks, hallelujah. Sadness is not my portion, I give thanks, hallelujah. Misfortune isn't mine, I'm begging, hallelujah.

Rabiu Bangbola Lawal, may God bless you wherever you are now for introducing me to this wonderful music by Baba Commander in Kumasi Ghana in 1972. You were then a chemical engineering student at KNUST in Kumasi.

I spent 3 hours searching for this song as I didn't know the title. Growing up in Eastern Nigeria, I enjoyed this music even though I didn't understand the words/meaning. God bless Chief Obey, Dr Sir Warrior and his oriental brothers international band, Chief Osita Osadebe, King Sunny Ade, Chief Oliver De Coque, Fela Kuti, Chief Mike Ejeagha and all our legends. You gave us good and timeless music that transcended cultures, age and creed. Ours was a beautiful and great country where people didn't really bother much about tribe and creed; but look at us now.....

I don't understand Yoruba but this music really takes me back memory lane. I remember when as a young girl watched adults excited listening and dancing to it. When Nigeria was united no tribalism or religious division. I have searched for this music on KZbin for over 3 years only today i hummed it to my husband and booom. God bless Commander Obey
