My instructor was taught by this incredible man, and today during class he told us a few stories about him. One of them was about Eternal Grand Master H.U Lee calling him a hippie and that made most of us laugh It honestly really spoke to me hearing Grand Master Allemier's story of how he got involved with Martial arts because I can relate to it. When I was younger, I had to deal with a turbulent homelife and bullies at school so my dad just signed me up for an after school club that was being hosted by one of the instructors at a nearby ATA. About 7 years after having to quit those classes due to changing schools I continued to learn under that same instructor who taught me at that after school club how to defend myself. I thought I knew how to fight, but after just two classes I realized I had a lot to learn, and even two years later I still have much more to learn. I have such a high respect for the masters, chief masters and grand masters of ATA, and I hope one day I'll get to meet some of these incredible people.
