I love historical metal. I do like how Sabaton is so plain and to the point in their writing though. They're like a history book. Maiden does the historical songs well also, but theirs are a little more abstracted into poetry and themes. Damnit, now I need to go listen to Maiden.

Brilliant song about one of the great US war heroes and an absolutely amazing solo by Chris Rörland. As much as I love Thobbe and Tommy, in terms of pure skill, Chris is probably the best guitarist Sabaton ever had (Thobbe and Tommy are also brilliant guitarists and musicians). Chris has also co-written many Sabaton hits with Joakim, like Attack Of The Dead Men or The Last Stand
