The use of a fender as starting point for the rear hump was very efficient. Great call on that one.

Thanks for the video! I never considered using a fender for the hump!

Great stuff again, in the UK you need a light to illuminate the number plate for it to pass MOT., not sure if you do too.

Stephen Auty Same here. I've ordered one and we'll make a subtile bracket to fix it on the mudguard.

Great video, You are right, we are doing the same thing! Thanx for the sub :) I've been thinking about having a 'Build Off' with someone one day so we can let our subscribers vote. Just a little fun but we would need the same motorcycle to build.

Cafe Racer Garage Great idea! Let me first finish this one ;). But if I start my next project, I will for sure think about 'who's doing the same here and, let's get in contact first!'. Really nice idea indeed...

Thank you for the exceptional videos ... and especially for the well-placed tips always. Would you mind indicating the link where you bought the "saddle connection" from what appears in that video, the one you used to attach the seat panel to the frame?

It's from the scrapyard. Gsx-r or R1 alike

Just weld right on through the rusty fender... okeedokee.
@mr420B6 жыл бұрын
hope yu dont mind my input, but you could have just pool welded a piece to the inside of the hump instead of cutting out circles! this would hve strengthened it too!
@spymaine896 жыл бұрын
you did ''sheet metal work, hammer to shape, torch cut, weld. could have ''pounded metal around a form , for ''pan back.

Haha, thanks. Some words are not (yet) on the top of my head. My business English is better than my technical English. Hope you understood the video and explanation anyway.

One Question: Is necessary a BIG rear light..??? The rear part of your project is very original with a part of mudguard, and I think that this is the real beauty of this part, a BIG rear light just hides this piece of art. Are you in keep the yamaha letters that cut in this video..???' Regards From Copiapó, Chile.
@chiefpepdesign6 жыл бұрын
PipoZaro No the blinkers will be the rear light! They have three functions. 1) turn signal 2) break light 3) rear light! :) I think I mention and show them in the second video. Yes, unfortunately the Yamaha letters will go...

Looks great. Who is helping you? Do you do most of the work yourself or are mostly a designer?
@chiefpepdesign6 жыл бұрын
Denis Hi Denis. I guess you're new here. Welcome! This is Ab Rezelman. He's the owner of the metal workshop. I do everything myself accept the metal working. I do operate some of his machines, sometimes we work together. But, he's the specialist, does this over 40 years now. So... Some things you have to leave to the specialist. Everything is my own design and my ideas. You can see my video of the Photoshop where I visualise my idea. Everything else I do in my garage myself. Also see my Q&A for more info.

Ok, thanks, seems like I am in the similar situation. I am building a street tracker project from XS650 with modern parts, and I have two friends who are fabricators help me with machining and welding, and another friend who owns a bike repair shop with technical details. I do my own blasting and powder coating and try to do as much myself as I can. Your channel is very cool and helpful. I did also enjoy your Photoshop skills!

Denis Great. Focus on the things you're good at. Leave the rest to the professionals but stay close to watch and learn and make sure your ideas come out well.

Ik bedoel het spatbord dat je gebruikt hebt voor de seatpan. Of hoe breed is je frame? Ik wil graag het zitje van mijn motor op de zelfde manier maken alleen ben ik bang dat mijn frame te breed is.
@chiefpepdesign4 жыл бұрын
