You're DEFINITELY young to be speaking about the Steelers so disrespectful early in the video. There are teams that I will agree with you, are legitimate garbage teams. The perennial dumpster FIRES of the Jets, the Browns, etc. It is organization based, and that is always tied to the way ownership runs each team. This is the third season now, post Ben Rothlesberger. Even say, his last season was a down year. The defense was just being rebuilt then from major line and lb losses. They would quite honestly be a LOT more impressive, consistent and thus scary, if they could play one week with a same O-line. There has basically been a different line up every week of the season. Even week 1 was not the intended line up. That is an area that has plagued this team with injury this season. When you consider it has been the weakness of the team both running and passing pro, a lot of the offensive woes are more realistic. Not excuses, but legitimate reasons. It is one area that it has more to do with the coaches scheming and the team play vs just being over powered. We finally seem to have the talent on the line, just SOOO many rookies. Rookies can look like all stars out there, but that usually happens with a rookie among star level vets, they help to elevate him. When MOST of your O-line has three years or less in the NFL, Depending on two and three rookies at a time. It definitely is comforting to know, barring injuries, these guys should continue to get better as they learn together. On a side note, I think the reason to try Russ this weekend has a lot to do with the team and the timing. Fields hasn't done enough to claim the starter role. Wins are one thing, but the defense should be credited with those wins right now. It's a good matchup for this line. Russ is going to need the time because he is more of a pocket passer. This isn't the NFL of twenty years ago. Thirty and thirty five for their bodies is not what it was to guys before a lot of the pad technology, recovery medicine and so much else athletes have to keep their bodies young. QBs seem to definitely last longer being in a lower impact position. (Even more so with recent rules).
