Yeah, I was also baffled on the 4-and-out. Hunt is the guy you give it to if you need a yard. Pacheco is the guy you give it to on first down to see if he breaks out and gets 10+ yards. At this point, the only thing that really concerns me about this team is how the defense can't ever seem to get off the field when it's 3rd or 4th and 15+. They do great on first and second downs. The opponent loses yards, and then on 3rd (or 4th) and really long, they complete a pass EVERY SINGLE TIME. Doesn't matter who the opponent is! Drives me nuts!

That's just the way Spagnuolo, the DC, calls his plays. Frustrates me too. Personally, I would blitz the hell out of the QB by sending 6 on every 3rd and long. Spags does however have a great reputation for winning by keeping his defensive unit unpredictable which in turn creates a lot of uncertainty for the opposing offense.

Steelers chiefs game will be something like 17-20. Coach played Buffalo like an exploratory game in prep for the post season, and I believe he will do the same against the Steelers. He’s not going to over exert the team, and they may even lose due to frequent substitutions to avoid possible fatigue injuries to older players. I like to see Carson in the 4 th quarter. Redskins were at their best when they played Sunny Jorgensen AND Billy Kilmer. Having two great quarterbacks actually playing during the season gave real depth to the offensive and totally intimidated the opposing teams.

Worthy in the slot is a nightmare for everyone. Brown/Hop on the outside is a bad matchup, but Worthy having to be chased by LBs and Safeties is a mismatch. This will open up deep throws and Kelce/Gray while also clearing out the box for Pacheco/Hunt. If we keep solid with this revamped Oline, we are dangerous. Also, defense now getting turnovers?!

Before Pacheco’s injury he did as good a job as Hunt can do on short yardage…going forward, both backs should be in there on short yardage either in the I with Hunt at fullback or both in the halfback position…heck, with Andy Reid’s creativity, a wishbone formation with Steele at fullback.
