I met him at a comic con in 2003, he was so cool and was always ready to say a few lines from Highlander, Starship Troopers or whatever. And he was such a deep voice. But oddly enough more people were asking him to do mr.Krabs or the guard from Shawshank Redemption.

From the moment I first read about Buckaroo Bonsai in Starlog Magazine, I knew I had to see it once it released. It definitely did not disappoint. Funny thing is, in the early 80’s, we weren’t even phased by its wackiness. It made it that much more awesome!

Not just that "If there was one time in my life..." that's a damn strong statement. Out of everything in his whole life, which a hell of a life, he chose then. I would give anything to have been a part of that production or even to be in the world that saw this movie gain its proper due upon release.

Anybody who has worked for a boss that depended on them, to be the rock (as they say in the video) of steadiness, they *get* the character of Rawhide. And a guy like Clancy Brown, being tall and deep voice and what have you, rarely gets to be the hero role. He's usually the heavy, which is understandable. But Clancy Brown makes Rawhide a guy you *know*, to where Rawhide's death at the end actually affects you as losing a friend. Everyone in the movie is just well-cast, it doesn't work without them.

I was in Blacksburg, attending Va Tech and working (OMG the movies that came out while I was there!) and I and some friends went to see this thing. After it was over everybody (I mean EVERYBODY) just sat there for a good minute wondering just what the hell we had just seen. Then everybody just stood up and gave this thing a standing O.
