@WhySoSnappy you got that right. Clancy Brown is the best animated Lex Luthor from Superman: The Animated Series on Kids WB with Tim Daly & Dana Delany and Michael Rosenbaum is the best live action of Lex Luthor from Smallville on WB/CW with Tom Welling, Aaron Ashmore, Laura Vandervoort, Erica Durance, & Kristin Kreuk. He should reprise his role with Tim Daly, Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill, Dana Delany, Susan Eisenberg, and other voice actors that I love in DC video games & animated movies. Michael Rosenbaum is also a voice actor because he's the voice of 2 alter egos of The Flash, Wally West from Justice League/Unlimited on Cartoon Network and Barry Allen from the animated movie Justice League: Doom.

Great interview by Michael. Clancy Brown is one of those actors who is the lifeblood of cinema/television and of whom there are too few now (except on stage, I hope): the character actor with the distinct look and versatility. He isn't a pretty boy, he isn't someone parachuted in from music, and he isn't a botoxed over-tattooed gomer. He's an *actor*. It's great to see him still prominent in recent years, The Goldbergs *and* John Wick Chapter Four? He's got chops. Altho' The Bride isn't a good movie, Clancy is good in it; his friendship with the late David Rappaport was touching. Mr Brown is much more than a rent-a-villain.

Clancy Brown's Lex Luthor was based of Telly Savalas especially with the design of the character. Kojak was the reference model for Lex Luthor for Supeman: TAS, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. His voice just speaks volume. Even now I will say "The Great Brain Robbery" was my favorite episode in JLU because it's the role reversal with Rosenbaum and Brown imitating each other which was awesome. Brown as Rosenbaum and Rosenbaum as Brown playing Lex at the same time playing Lex in Smallville was spectacular. I even enjoyed his performance as Wade Eiling and one of the funniest moment was when David Sobolov's Gorilla Grodd took over Eiling's mind which reminded me of "The Great Brain Robbery" episode with Lex trying to access Grodd's mind to find out more information about the Braniac stone that he found only leading to disastrous results. In a way The Flash show Grodd kind of got his revenge on Lex Luthor lol. His Surtur in Thor: Ragnarok, The Guardian he voiced in Green Lantern film were memorable. Of course The Kurgan character is all time classic and just brought the chills in Highlander.

I've been a fan ever since he played Kurgen in Highlander. He was such a scary, evil, villain. I still remember so many great lines that he had. The scene with him and MacLeod in the church was classic and great acting. "Ramirez was an efeete snob. I took off his head and raped his woman before his blood turned cold." What a great line. And Clancy was so good in that entire church scene. How did Darth Vader ever get voted as one of the great villains in cinema and hardly anyone credits Clancy Brown for being way more evil and convincing in Highlander? Everyone remembers him in Shawhank. But for the benefit of those who haven't seen the original Highlander should check it out. It's a real treat.
