Mufasa was the father we saw as children; strong, kind, wise and has no flaws. Stoick is the father we grow up with; strong, stubborn, flawed and not easy to get along with at times. But both put their lives on the line, and died, for their respective sons. Sons who felt like they could never live up to their fathers, only to surpass them in their own ways.

Brother, you have discovered one of life's many secrets, time DOES change us. This is now a memory for us, and yet a NEW experience for the younger generations whether they do or don't isn't up to us, but with those who enjoy it and carry on the passion, THAT, that is what truly matters. The ones who love. Are the ones who understand the loss, we have. To this movie experience.

0:42 "You came early into this world. I feared you wouldn't make it" quote from Valka always hits close to home. The way she uses her son's past not against him, but to his advantage and to further motivate him. Its a "look at where you used to be, and where you are right now." AND I ABSOLUTELY ADORE IT! ❤

The message of love by Stoick is the very thing that hurts to hear, because it is true. Love comes with a sacrifice, and loss. But it can be the greatest gift no gift can outmatch.

I love that triology more than anything. A lot of people laugh at you because your favorite movie series is for kids. That's not true... It's much more than just a movie series... It's my whole childhood. I will never stop loving those movies. (Love you John Powell)

Stoick was the most resilient dad in movie history…. He had being chief of berk…. A personal life….. a friendship with Gobber to maintain…. All while raising Hiccup alone…. Stoick had the weight of the world on him… that weight is gone now…… rest well stoick…. You were my favourite character in all of HTTYD , and DreamWorks….
