I know God allowed you to come across my recommended videos. I have one child who sings, counts, and identifies correctly her colors, however in this season she has had a hard time communicating her needs. She does a lot of hand pulling, bring us what she wants, or throws tantrums. After watching this video I attempted the techniques you recommend. My daughter wanted a banana and was crying so I walked with her to the counter and sang “I want a banana mommy”. I kept repeating “ I want a banana mommy”. I also incorporated stomping and clapping. I made the experience really entertaining. Finally, before I gave her the banana I asked did she want a banana and she shouted “YES!” I make a big deal out of the little accomplishments because she’s come such a long way through And will continue to do well In the name of Jesus, Amen!

I'm a guy and didn't start talking full sentences until the age of 5. My parents took me to a renowned Harvard doctor. Lots of tests, etc. He told my mom I wasn't Autistic or retarded. He said I would talk when I had something to say. BTW: mom and older siblings said I LOVED music, and would clearly sing.

There is a difference between Speech and Language. Ask questions using speech (words that are already taught). Example: are you sleepy? The bed is for sleeping. Go to sleep on the bed. Sleep/bed/go

You seem frustrated but I get it! Sometimes you give all these strategies and families just don’t apply them and wonder why nothing is changing!

thank you for understanding, I always get frustrated because of that haha!

Your good 👍, and from what am realizing teaching boys as opposed to girls is different. Key is finding out what the child likes and work from their, via the use of your techniques.

Hi Ming, please please would you be able to do a video on how to help with regressed speech, due to hearing problems? Speech is coming back now after the ear surgery, but there's still some bit of hand leading. Will use words to ask for water and sometimes food. Prior to temp hearing loss, we had clear words like duck, however now, duck is guck and water is tah.

that is rather specific, you should consult your local speech therapist if you can

Where can I find a list of gestures to teach my 2 year old? I’m just coming across this page and it’s almost as if you’ve already met my son. Should I google for sign language motions?
@AgentsofSpeech2 жыл бұрын
you need to determine what words would be functional for him to use. For example, if it's "open", then you can google "sign language open" in google images

Hi I have a 3.6 year old girl .she is a wiggly preschooler. How should I teach her to stop and reply when someone's talking to her . Or sit when circle time is going on in school ( in short just sit and wait when it's required to ) Fyi : she talks ,communicates all her needs ,shows me stuff that interests her . Answers me the stuff that she knows .
@AgentsofSpeech3 жыл бұрын
either give her more time or ask for a shadow teacher until she can do it herself
