I remember this. How she cried and manipulated people. How she played a victim. Big alligator tears. It looked just like her parole hearing. She needs to remain in prison for the rest of her life. I feel bad for her husband. I lost my son 3 years ago, and the pain never gets any better, in my experience. I can't imagine anyone who would do that to their own children. As for the second case - negligent parenting led to Ebby's death. Poor kid. My daughter was never allowed out past a certain hour, and I had to know where she would be any time she visited someone. If there was a sleepover, I knew not only who the other kids were, but all their parents as well. She was never allowed to be alone with boys or to attend wild parties. I met the parents of every one of her friends, and made sure we understood one another's' rules and exchanged contact information. The one time she broke the rule, she got grounded for 2 months. She hated me for it for a while, but she's still alive, and now she understands why. That's what a good parent does. A parent is not there to be their kids' BFF. They're there to raise, teach, nurture and protect them. It's a serious responsibility. Parents need to be diligent. It's important. It's a pain in the ass, but it's important. Be involved in your kids' lives.
