Mrs Alleyne reminds me of the social worker I was blessed to oversee me between 16-18 years old. I am. Survivor of ca and csa. I had the best cps team- they made sure I was ok, that I graduated school and always had laundry soap and toilet paper and coffee and cream😂. I don't think I would be where I am today without that social worker. Her name was Karen and she was no Karen, she was a hero! So THANK YOU to all the good social workers that do the job they signed up to do. These kiddos need all of us!!❤

This judge is incompetent compared to many other judge. Tracey is so quick with the hearsay objections. We all know the evidence will be admitted when all is said done. Tracey in my opinion, is trying to justify the moms behavior. The CPS worker is top notch compared to many of the current workers I've seen. I think she should be the example for CPS worker. As always, I hate when lawyers attack the workers for doing their job, while making the mom a victim. This mom needs to take responsibility for her actions. Mom and her lawyers often forget the kiddos are victims and lose so of their of their childhood while in the care system.

The judge is basically sustaining everything that they were objecting to, when a good amount of it seemed very reasonable & relevant to me, & prob wouldn’t have been sustained by other judges…I think she’s making some bad calls & she seems almost biased or bullied by those 2 atty’s!! I do want to see what happens, cuz I’m only approx halfway thru, but I’m getting really pissed off at the 3 of them!! They’re making it almost deliberately difficult & frustrating for the caseworker & her attorney to testify, nitpicking at everything, being overly critical & petty…besides having real crappy attitudes!! I think this caseworker is incredible, and personally, I’d give a lot of weight to her testimony. she’s been with this particular mom for a year and a half. methadone isn’t the best opiate replacement therapy anymore. It’s very easy to abuse, and if her levels aren’t stable like they say, and sometimes she screening is negative, there isn’t any plausible explanation as to why that would be except that Shes storing it up and double dosing to get high- while co-sleeping with her baby. That’s a dangerous combination. I hope the judge looks at the drug test results prior to making a decision- but I’m not holding my breath. She seems like she just squeaked past the bar and this is her first day on the bench. 😂
@rhanBo
@rhanBo 20 сағат бұрын
I agree with you except where you said methadone is “very easy to abuse.” Most methadone is prescribed by a clinic which means the patient has to go to the clinic to take their dose every day until they’ve proven they are trustworthy and stable and then, they may be provided with a take home or 2 for the weekend and then they return to dose at the clinic. For those that have been in the program successfully for years, they may be able to earn a week or 2 of doses at a time if with the understanding that they UA when asked and they present their doses, in a lockbox, for the nurse or medical provider to check and make sure they weren’t being diverted or abused. So, no, methadone is not very easy to abuse unless you are getting illegally and then, in that case, anything is easy to abuse. But I agree wholeheartedly with the rest of your comment.
@abby7038
@abby7038 19 сағат бұрын
@@rhanBo I totally understand they aren’t passing out methadone like candy - I probably could have clarified better but My comment wasn’t about easy to abuse related to access- but the actual drug chemistry compared to a drug like suboxone- which is why they’ll give 30 days of suboxone but are more controlled (or should be) when it comes to methadone. It’s easy to abuse so they limit access to try and stop that. They don’t have to do the same with suboxone because it’s not as easy to abuse. 🙂 Either way, This mom seems to have found a way to abuse it- or at least that’s what CPS is representing- we’ll see. hopefully we get a part 2!

They act like a click of high schoolers constantly interrupting for any possible reason to silence a woman who helps families and fluster an amateur attorney into giving up the argument. I watched this whole case start to finish and I am so confused at the state of this removal. So, CPS ended up removing both children, the main reason being that they belived Mom was under the influence - but the same thing happened in Dec. and they did nothing? I also don't understand how they can use the Dad's threats as a reason to keep her children away from her. There are no allegations that she's allowed him in the home or around the children, so why is she being punished for his actions? I understand CPS's concerns about the methadone, however the judge is correct that they can't both want her to follow her treatment and be off the methadone. It has to be one or the other. Hopefully Mom's hair follicle test comes back clean / appropriate and she gets her babies back.

Couch…fine but if the bassinet was in the same room why not place a baby in it? Little risk of the baby that age harming themselves but the actions of others around them whether accidentally or intentionally could put them in harms way. Co sleep??? It’s dangerous…simple as that. Even more so if the adult is tired (which I assume they are if they are in bed!?) & has a history or shows signs of impairment. No matter how much the adult believes it’s to bond, care & observe illness & sickness more closely. Evidence proves it is dangerous & increases the risk of SIDS by up to 50% Babies cannot regulate their body temperature until around 1.5/2 yrs old, they require clear airways so clear flat surfaces allow a airflow which is even more important if this child was congested & mum is on the large, cuddly side so even great chance of smothering. Why do parents fight so hard against a service, although intrusive, imperfect & broken in so many ways, can actually help & provide all the benefits & support families need (children deserve & have the right to) to thrive & succeed.

There are certain procedures that have to be followed to ensure that the process is fair and impartial to everyone involved. They can't introduce evidence that's being told 2nd or 3rd hand - it has to be directly from the person who witnessed or was told by the defendant. (Disregarding certain exceptions)

She’s really not good… Lol if you knew more about objections and the laws, I think you would see that. She shouldn’t of allowed certain things that got past her, and she shut down things that should’ve been allowed on record. So much of that was petty and nitpicking. It was ridiculous that she allowed all of that to go on in her courtroom… Besides letting the gestures and facial expressions of the mother just go completely unchecked and not admonished which should’ve been done numerous times…to be fair, I’m only about halfway thru, but she hasn’t done it yet so maybe she does, but so far absolutely nothing!! But hey, I guess everyone’s entitled to their opinion, & you can love her all you want- no matter how good or bad she is 😆🤘🏻

…you love this judge that piled up on a good social worker with three other women who had no grace, or decorum of court. You didn’t get a uck feeling when the judge went from 99% ‘sustained’ to constant ‘overruled’ eye rolls when things switched? How about when they blamed the lone attorney and social worker for ‘using up an hour’ when neither could get a sentence out before having the entire train of thought derailed. A judge that is happy to explain how all these women can rephrase yet when they barrage basic lawful questions ceaselessly- she refuses to give any reasoning or handle time management. And even joins in on the interrupting and high school girl like attitude. No grace. No thinking past black and white objections/hearsay’s. But sure, let’s love this incompetent judge. No human decency from most in this video.

I’m just gonna say that you can’t be halfway thorough. You either are or you’re just not. Some of the facts is not the same as all the facts. And if the caseworker can request a few records, she can request them all, including the notes of the visits. It’s ridiculous that she can half-ass her job and still get a pat on the head for protecting the children. I’m so disgusted with this case. I would like to believe that mom is 100% innocent of what is being alleged. However, the facts don’t support that conclusion.

….i think you may not know what being a social worker does to the heart. I don’t know how you can say she halfassed her job- when she couldn’t get a sentence out. it was a pileup of clucking hens interrupting a woman who was just trying to be of service to the courts and do her very heartbreaking job.

@@IsaDawvish -I think you would be wrong. Taking a child out of a home is never an easy decision. If you can’t do your job to the level commensurate with the ramifications to the child, you should not be in that position. And she’s a caseworker. Being in court, dealing with rude attorneys is part and parcel of the job. How you can be so soft hearted about demanding accountability from everyone involved is beyond incomprehensible to me. There’s no reason for participation trophies to be handed out. We should not champion mediocrity in any form. You can feel free to say whatever you will. The job this caseworker does affects the lives of the innocent. That should be the only concern in getting it right. Period.

You are sadly mistaken… the amount of sustained objections was actually ridiculous and over-the-top as was the objections…as many were not even correctly made… And yes, I work in the system so I know this. So enjoy your ignorance is bliss mindset & attitude and get your kicks out of it here…but remember as you’re laughing it up, that this is part of the reason why we as a country lose so many caseworkers and the system is in such dire shape. Reality is that it’s already hard enough to get the amount of CPS workers needed and good, quality ones at that…& then for them to genuinely care about children at risk, only to get attacked and/or harassed in court, while legit trying to do their jobs and looking out for these children? So cool, you keep enjoying this caseworker’s treatment, but just hope it never happens to you or anyone you know 🙄💯

@@janessap1739 My apologies that my comment upset you and I’d like to clarify if that’s ok :). It was not my intent to in any way criticize the CPS investigator or imply any wrongdoing on her part although I can see how it may have come across that way. I completely agree that CPS workers are over worked and underpaid! I also agree that they should not be harassed. I had only watched first 30 mins at time I posted my comment and based it solely on the judge sustaining so many objections at that point. I believe the rules of evidence vary from state to state for various stages of these proceedings and I found it interesting that the judge did not allow this witness to answer many questions based on sustained objections. I was not laughing at the CPS investigator or minimizing her dedication, passion and commitment to her very difficult job. Thank you for allowing me to offer more context to my earlier post.

I come from a family of seven kids, and I’ve raised my children, was her house lived in? I was saying that the DCF worker was nitpicking about the furniture she did not specify. Was the mess to her toys as she stated the mother bought whatever she could for the children that she could afford did she think she was buying her kids too many toys? And she has a new baby who’s sick she went to bed. Somebody woke her up. Of course she’s going to be. Exhausted. And she just testified, they didn’t even sit down that poor lady stood there for an hour after being woken up taking care of two kids all day.
