"Maybe Chucky's better off being a doll." ...Actually, that's a good point. Why does this guy need a body? He's a vagrant serial killer with seemingly no other goal in life. While he's a doll, he doesn't have regular human needs, he can still kill, and, since he's a doll, he gets away with them. And, if later installments are to be believed, he can still have sex. Plus, as long as his doll form is recycled, he's immortal! Why does he want to go back to being human? Especially if he has to go through being a kid again? He's been blessed with the perfect killer persona, so, as long as he's cool with being a redhead, he's got it made!

I'd rank the 2019 remake as being in the mid to high tier of Chucky films. Higher than Seed and 3, lower than 2 or Curse. I'd put it around the same level as the original, maybe coming in just barely behind it.

10:00 the garbageman's death always bugged me compared to every other kill in this series. Up to this point, everyone who gets it usually does something beforehand to make them at least a little bit unlikeable. Aunt Maggie yells at Andy for turning on the news, the CEO in the second one is cheating on his wife, etc. The garbageman is the only one who dies just for being a good person

2 is still the Golden God of the franchise. Everybody was fantastic, especially loud and super pissed-off Brad Dourif just how I like him, Alex Vincent showed us in this that he could have been a stellar actor if he continued, the relationship between Andy and Kyle felt very believable and sweet to see, Chucky was back with that new body, creepy moments and it was pretty funny too.

Also, I went to a school like this and they usually have level/privilage systems where good behavior and grades allowed you to do more. Tyler probably has good grades and clearly doesn't cause trouble so that's probs why he is allowed to use a Game Gear all the time and have a toy like Chucky.

When watching the episodes of The Sopranos directed by Jack Bender, does anyone else immediately think, "I can't believe this is from the director of Child's Play 3!" Even though Don Mancini isn't particularly fond of this entry in the series, I don't think it was that bad. It's fun. A little ridiculous, but not as dumb as Bride of Chucky and the Tiffany character... This was a fun review. And i agree, the haunted house finale was fucking awesome!

They really should have double checked their weapons at some point to prevent accidentally shooting each other. Also the grenades probably should have been locked up more securely.

Im not sure we moved that far away from Kubrick. I mean one of the surviving kids must have grown up to be Gomer Pyle. Chucky should have possessed Andrew Robinson instead. He is already delightfully insane. Match made in heaven.
