One of the most hated and misunderstood movies of all time. Just watch it as a stand-alone movie, forget about Myers. It's a shame they didn't continue the anthology idea, instead, we got the same character over and over again. The film has a great atmosphere and soundtrack, Tom Atkins kicking ass, crazy villain, gore and some bizarre wtf moments. The next film to follow it would be Trick 'r Treat. And yeah...the Silver Shamrock song is annoying. Yeah Myers killed a kid in 2018 but Cochran did it first and more hardcore. You can create new ideas. So far we had Myers and a crazy old man who wants to murder children. You can add more crazy new villains in the town of Haddonfield or just Halloween itself.

One day, 8 years ago, I was trying to convince her to watch something with me, without any luck. I've recently seen the 80's Dan review, and I just proposed that movie, knowing they're was nothing scary in it and that we could drink every time the jingle was heard. I just didn't know it would play 14 times in the movie :P damn, 14 shots (watered down after 2-3) in 2 hours, a lot of laughs, and a new tradition was born! Now, every Halloween, all friends and I watch terrible horror movie, where nothing is scary, everything is over the top, and we drink :) It's kind of bittersweet that SpookyFest 2020 will return to its roots this year and only my gf and I will attend...

I remember Halloween 4 was ment to be an different story tieing into III. The story was going to go back to Haddonfield from Halloween 1/2 and after the Shamrock sacrifice incident, Halloween was pretty much disregarded as an memorial day and masks were pretty much banned from stores across the country along with Silver Shamrock being burned to the ground, and the US delt with an locus infestation. The story was going to follow Laurie as she investigates more into Micheal years after the attacks. Loomis was gonna return as well but voice only, and the movie was ment to be more story on Micheal's past and character rather then just being another slasher thing. The pitch was rejected and then it was rewrote to what we got now, which was Halloween IV, and it was "Meh".

I really wish they'd have followed the theme it would have introduced with different characters/stories each year. A Halloween Anthology could have given us some cool stories, especially back in the 80s.

Maybe they would have been kinder if they hadn't called it "Halloween 3"; Halloween 2 might have been able to get away with shifting the focus, but not after two movies about the same thing.

Nearly all of Carpenter's movies got shat on. No wonder he's a bitter old bastard, lol.

You should re-upload halloween 2 review! You owe it the memory of one Benjamin Tramer to keep his memory alive. #justiceforBenTramer

This video is very nicely timed, as I just watched the first 3 Halloween films and the 2018 Halloween over the weekend. The only thing I really knew going into this one was "it's the one without Michael Myers" and that infectious Silver Shamrock jingle, and I was pleasantly surprise when I watched it. It's not bad at all.

Got to meet Tom Atkins and Stacey Nelkin at a convention last weekend. Both were real cool people and they love how the following and appreciation for Season Of The Witch has grown

I'm glad that this movie has finally gotten the appreciation it truly deserves. Quite an underrated film. I got to see a screening of it last October in Pittsburgh that also included a Q and A/Meet and Greet with Tom Atkins. It was a blast!

Ironically, this was the first Halloween movie I saw - I never realised they were "supposed" to be about Michael Myers and wondered why there weren't more Silver Shamrocks in the others

Finally this movie is getting the praise it deserves. Now if only someone would review Wes Craven's 'Shocker' and praise it just as much I'd be really happy.

I mean at least that movie helped advance the career of that guy from _The X-Files._

I watched this film once back in the early 2000's when I was like 16, and I hated it.But like 6 minutes into this review, I kinda wanna re-watch it. I'll probably end up liking it, there are a lot of movies like that. I'm also sure that there are worse movies than this that I still enjoy, lol.

I used to be one of the people who refused to watch this movie because it had no Myers in it. I for whatever reason decided to pick up a copy in the early 2000s and ended up loving it. Oh, it is full of holes and silly at times, but it also captures the Halloween mood really well, and you cant help but enjoy Conal Cochran as the villain!

I like this movie, and Tom Atkins is the man. I’ll watch every Halloween season. The intro is classic. I think the lack of Michael Myers is too much for some people to wrap their heads around... maybe they should try wrapping something around their heads instead.. like a Silver Shamrock mask. Ha

If it was Halloween II, it would have succeeded as an anthology. It's actually my favorite Halloween movie despite its flaws. Great show Brad! 🎃

This is the best Halloween movie without Michael Myers in it. There. I said it. And am I the only one who thinks this is the ONE Halloween movie that would be served well by a remake? As much as I've grown to appreciate this movie, it's clear that it could've used a couple rewrites to fix problems like the fact that the movie seems to pretend that time zones don't exist. (Think about it. It's 9 PM in New York while it's 6 PM in California. By the time the climax of the film gets going, countless kids in the Eastern, Central, and Mountain time zones are already dead.) My favorite shot in the movie is at the end of the trick-or-treating montage, when the camera pans from the kids in the hills to the town below as the Silver Shamrock jingle fades and the dark of night descends. Such an eerie, menacing shot representing the evil that is about to befall the world. Dean Cundey is still the man. A brilliant little touch of set design? The monitors and control consoles that kill the robots and Cochran at the end are arranged in a circle like Stonehenge. The trio of Silver Shamrock masks also reminds me of the trio of Happy Meal Boo Buckets that McDonald's sold a few years later. The only differences? McDonald's used a ghost instead of a skull, and opted to kill millions of kids slowly through obesity, heart disease, and diabetes. Also, if you don't wanna hunt eBay for an expensive Silver Shamrock mask, you can buy one from Trick Or Treat Studios for about 50 bucks.

This movie is so underrated and It was so ahead of it's time. It has robot transhumanism, the computer age, surveillance tech, satanic ritual practice, corporate conspiracy, archaeological sites and equatorial energy, etc. Not too mention Cochrane is identical to Lord Jacob Rothschild which is so perfect considering. All with John Carpenter's dope synths in the background. I love this movie
