What a dad - his parts were refreshingly open and honest. Don’t necessarily agree with all his parenting but you can see he did what he thought was best and tried his best to raise them right. Even in what he said about Terrell and thinking he maybe should’ve tried other ways of teaching him was very self aware.

Agreed.. I grew up in Penrith, Werrington and St Mary’s and had friends in Tregear, Whalan and Mt Druitt.. this video brings back heaps of memories. Thanks for sharing a family insight 🙌🏻 For anybody thinking Dad was harsh, that’s the way we grew up.. our parents were tough on us, and expected us to grow up strong mentally and physically.. If you were a male, it was that men don’t cry attitude, that harsh exterior. Well done fellas, you’ve taken the good with the bad, life’s lessons and still hold your heads high, well done 🙌🏻
@lam3422Ай бұрын
Tregear is beautiful! A lot of great folk out there, including relatives and people I love and look up to. One thing this video highlights for me is how fortunate we are in Australia. Tregear is still a nice area. I visited and stayed with family in New York recently and all I can say is Tregear is Bel-Air compared to South Jamaica, Queens. Just like how South Jamaica would be Beverly Hills to people I met there who migrated there from parts of the Carribean and Central America. Although the title of this video suggests Tregear is the 'poorest' suburb in Sydney, it's rich with great, humble and hard working people. Respect to everyone in this video, especially the father. "I'm still proud of him and hope he gets through all of this he's going through... And becomes the man I know he can become... I love them all the same" That man is an exemplary role model, if I've ever seen one...
