I was scared of broken casettes or corruupted cds. The scary loud noises they make and the repeating phrases gave me goosebumps and made me cry for my mom 😫

I watched day of the dead when I was 7 and the part where that guys head gets ripped off and his vocal cords stretched as he screamed scared me

i’m not sure why, but this might be a random childhood story so when I was back five years old four I remember I had the creepiest dream you know when I grew up I grew up with Jacksepticeye and Markiplier right so when I was sleeping, I had to stream that I was in players select, but something was off. There were no gamers there so yeah until something caught my eye, and that was a blue head, baby and yes, this isn’t a joke. I literally had a dream with a literal blue baby head, but it looked very disturbing from its original size so it started shooting laser at me, and I started running and screaming. It gave me a literal chills in my nightmares until this day I was still remember that nightmare that I had when I was little and if you think that is weird, just let me know if some of you had that same dream just like I had.

Feels like this cheapens the term childhood trauma a bit. This is just being spooked by video games and shows/movies, while people who suffer from actual childhood trauma are emotional or physical abuse victims or have to witnessed other real life horrors in their childhood :/

My intentions were definitely not to overshadow or desensitize some of the real issues that fall under that category. This was just a title I chose simply because other content creators shared their own experiences and I wanted to shed light on some that I had when I was a child. Again, my intentions were not intended to be offensive and I sincerely apologize for anyone offended by my choice of title

I kinda get your point, and this is coming from someone with actual childhood trauma (sexual and emotional specifically). But to be fair like he stated, other KZbinrs have done something like this with horror related topics or content in a way. So while yes it can come off as off putting but, it’s kind of a thing that some people adapted as another form of trauma as it can come it different forms
