I’m at a point in my life where I don’t really have any examples of the “cringe dad” left, and it can feel like the “grindset” or monomania is the only path to success or happiness. I know that it can only lead to one of those things for me personally, but it can feel so isolating as a college student when it feels like I’m one of the few around me that isn’t pursuing that life. So thank you professor providing the example that you do, I forget that I can really be whoever I want too often.

I’m glad to be a voice against the grindset and for the importance of human connection. And they are not mutually exclusive. I “grind” pretty hard with this channel, for example, but always make sure it never hurts the lives of those around me or my general work/life balance

AVAA listened to this album 2 nights ago, sleep deprived, playing team fortress 2 and without understanding any of the lyrics (sleep brain) the soundscape is so vivid throughout the album, being very lush yet scary, with these little glimpses of breathing room throughout. great album 8/10 will probably check out his other stuff as this was my first gambino album

i think its interesting that donald glover is, in the music, playing childish gambino and in the movie, i assume is playing bando stone its possible that bando stone is a stage name/ alter ego for the character within the world making "childish gambino" donald glovers wario, and "bando stone" his waluigi separate from that the music video for lithonia is fascinating for what it means for both the album and the movie. in the music video, hes performing the song with a band for a small group, intensely watched by a woman. the whole band starts sweating intensely and looks worried, then the song is cut short as donal/ bandos eyes explode , then is chasing the woman in an outside setting. i wonder if thats a thing that happens in the movie? whether its a thing that happened in the past for bando, or a nightmare bando has? maybe its a thing that happened or could happen , that puts his travel companions in danger?
