This is the only time that we hear Lennard Pearce speak posh because he has stepped out of the character of Granddad. David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst always missed working with Lennard, after his death.

Lennard died on 15th December 1984, just eight weeks before his 70th birthday and this was recorded 3 weeks before he suddenly and unexpectedly died. It was his last ever TV appearance.
