I have a late uncle who was "soaked to the jocks" as my father put it, with Agent Orange while serving in Vietnam in the Australian Army. I have a cousin, born from my late uncle after his return to Australia. My cousin has numerous medical problems, not limited to severe mental retardation. My heart breaks for the people of Vietnam who have to live with the reckless actions of a selfish, careless state. :(

Their leader, no matter what type of politics, was very wise when he said "The government started the war, not the common people." I think that really helped the citizens with their animosity, as well as I'm sure some of them fighting in the war didn't really want to partake either, just like our citizens. Even if our country doesn't fess up that this substance was severely harmful to the people, (though we should. I sure as hell admit it,) we really should be organizing more support for therapies for the disabled children there. Unfortunately with it being third generation in and it still happening I think the toxin has to eventually "breed" itself out. My son has to have therapies for being partially paralyzed (spina bifida) and has had over ten surgeries already. Without initial surgery with the hydrocephalus and shunt, he would have died. Without more surgery his legs would have been even more severely club foot than the one child in this video with club foot, and without therapy he wouldn't be able to walk with a walker as he can now. I don't know where he would be without all of this help, and it kills me kids over there can't receive the same. Children are children no matter where they are, and they all deserve whatever aid people can give them.

I feel bad for these people but what everyone needs to understand is they actually have it alot better off then most vietnamese people. The fact that they can send their children to school and pay for those type of surgeries means that they aren`t poor. If anythinng, being poor in vietnam is much worst then being born in a rich family handicapped. There are countless beggers in vietnam who has either lost both legs or arm and even then they have no one caring for them and are left on the streets

If the birth defect percentage is only 2% higher for vets and their decendents, how do we know that each one of these kids was affected by agent orange? Also, while everyone wants to bash America, a little known fact is that Austraila and Canada also spayed agent purple which is worse than AO in VN but no one beats up on them for spraying and it has allowed all the law suits to come to the US army only. France, Canada, UK and Australia was in VN too, but they never get bashed or asked to pay.

My God, how vile.. This really angers me - how can the US politicians say "Its harmless to human beings"?!? Maybe they and thier families should spend a week or two in the bush having that shit sprayed over them. A present to the President as it were.. Of course the Vietnamese cannot say "ALL disabilities are due to Agent Organge" - there needs to be testing, but the US needs to change this disgusting, backward policy making. Makes you wonder what effect the Flouride etc in OUR water has..

@worldtravel101 You're right, the people who are continuing to suffer in Vietnam had nothing to do with the Vietnam war, rather they are the offspring of veterans. Why should they still be punished by your nations use of chemical warfare? By arguing against my points you're basically stating it's acceptable when it is not. I don't feel these people should have to suffer, they are innocent.

Me and my home have been invaded by a parasite. The first emergency room I went to shrugged their shoulders and prescribed 3 different meds. One for my blood stream. One for intestinal and one for skin. It seems to be slowing them down. But, it not stopped them yet. The Drs on my second visit to emergency said I am hallucinating and prescribed a treatment for round worms that costs almost $4,000. Which I couldn't afford. I have seen the same parasites moving under the skin of all the people on this video. I have posted videos of this. Can anyone help?

Yes, that's assuming the war combatants *adhere* to the rules of the Geneva convention. The problem is, a lot of them do not, and ignore the contract they signed. Other nations do not participate in the convention, join in a war and kill whoever the h*ll they please.

watchensee Guess it's a few months late response so I don't know if you ever got your answer, but they use what we call "military time." Between 12:00am-12:00pm it's all the same following numbers (1,2,3, etc.) but after 12:00pm, for them it's 13, 14, 15, while for us it's 1:00, 2:00, 3:00. Since a day has 24 hours, basically they follow that. Many countries use that way of telling time instead of the way our clocks work. Hope that helps!
