“A breath they didn’t know they were holding.” 😆 I was recently counting how many times that phrase appeared in James Islington’s trilogy of chonk, “Licanius.” Answer: a lot! Even I, not an editor, was groaning out loud at that one. I’m not sure who first put the phrase’s overuse into my brain, but it was probably one of you BookTuber folks 😁 I’ve been tag-teaming an indie-SF with a trad-SF title in April and I’ve continued into May, which is fun. “The Artificial Structure Formerly Known as the Moon” and “The Immortality Thief” got read last month, and I have “Return of the Griffin”/“Theft of Fire” and “The Blighted Stars” up for May.

It's so funny how phrases become cliche. I often see "a single tear ran down their cheek" which is also super overused. 😂 Sounds great!
