For real tho, atm i have really bad back pain cuz of my work where i need to lift heavy stuff and i wasnt able to even sit, sleep or stand for more than 2 minutes and they were like "eh, yesss sure". since it wasnt as obvious as vomiting or stuff it took em 3 weeks to understand i might really have pain. Yep. My mother was the the peacemaker and and my father the one who must be obeyed. She tempered the punishment he handed down. As the oldest, and a girl with four younger brothers, I was shocked when my now old father was lamenting the behaviour of my brothers, and in a very serious voice suddenly said “I think we should have stopped when we had you”😮 … then apologised for being so old fashioned about his views on educating girls (he wouldn’t let me take a full scholarship to University because I was only 16) but thought it was fine to get married at 18! Parenting/growing up isn’t easy.

@@songyu1356 I am old now and comfortably retired with my life long partner and have had the most interesting life, my intellectual ability recognised with offers of management and training positions. I have been involved on projects that can’t be discussed under the Secrecy Act and it never mattered that I didn’t attend University. I could have regretted not getting into the ground floor of computer science at 16 back in the mid-60’s when mainframes were the size of a truck and not as powerful as my current laptop but I found my niche that I totally mastered. I have had the great pleasure of watching another two generations of girls in the family flourishing academically so I have no regrets or ill feelings. Hell, I have travelled the World, met interesting people including millionaires and billionaires so what could I possibly complain about. All of which I assured my father as he allowed me to care for him right up until he passed at 90 years of age. Regrets and ill feelings are for people who experience hardships.
