Long-time Bluey fans were gifted with a treat when the finale of season three was released. The episode “Surprise” starts like any other, as Bandit tries to balance playing two games to appease his children and make them happy. It’s goofy, heartwarming, and tries to answer a difficult question: What is it like having children? The last scene takes the characters years into the future, where an adult Bluey stops by to visit her parents. As Bluey and Chilli finish greeting one another and head into the backyard, Bandit is stalled by the doorbell. He goes to answer the door, unaware that his grandchild is waiting to launch a surprise attack. However, the Heeler puppy uses an updated version of the toy Bluey uses throughout the episode, reflecting their mother! Recognizing the sound of the toy, Bandit realizes what he’s in for, an afternoon of fun with the newest family member!

If you watch the camping episode and compare it to other episodes that feature Mackenzie, you will notice a considerable difference when it comes to Bluey’s tail wagging. The father could be anyone because: Ear fold is a chance to born with and not being brought from parents. Proof, Mackenzie has a pointy ear despite his parents having folded ears, and Stripe having a folded ear despite Chris and Bob having 0 folded ears. Even though the mullet could be from Mackenzie, I would like to believe it came from the Heelers. Why? Because it's a You Decide thing after all. AND before you say "They have the black patch, it's from Mackenzie alright". Then It's possibly brought from their grandpa, Bandit. So basically, you could think it's Mackenzie or Jean-Luc, but DON'T think too hard about it for fandom's sake!

^Well no bc the episode is called surprise, so the kid is trying to surprise the grand parents, so I think Bluey would ruin the surprise. Wouldn’t Chili say Bingo and her kid are here if it were Bingo’s kid? Also Bluey asks whether or not she’ll have children when she grows up, what having kids is like, and of course the kid has a toy blaster and was in the same spot and pose she was as a kid.

I absolutely 10,000% Believe it's Jean Luc. There aren't enough of Mackenzies traits in the puppy. Granted, the show may have intentionally created the baby to be ambiguous as to who the father is, but STILL. Bluey and Mackenzie are buddies, and even then they really don't even get along all that well. He picks on her more than anything. I feel like they may be on the right track to be really good friends as they grow up or even in the realm of like family friends so tight they act like siblings or cousins, but I really don't think they're ever going to be romantically inclined or there would probably already be some light playful little kiddie crushes going on. Most people don't marry their long-time childhood friends, it would be like marrying your brother or something! She would know WAY too much about him and it would just be weird. The whole idea of bullying people because you like them is ridiculous and stupid. Now meeting your childhood friend who you spent a whole summer adventuring with who meant something incredibly deep to you again as adults only to find that he's learned, probably on his own accord and maybe even taught himself, to speak YOUR NATIVE LANGUAGE, likely because of or FOR YOU? Rusty and Bluey were originally supposed to be cousins, hence why they have similar designs. This concept was scrapped and they chose to have Rusty and Bluey be friends. exactly. I think if it were a heeler and a Labrador mix, both ears would be floppy and the fur wouldn’t be as fluffy, since neither heelers or labs have very long hair. Mackenzie is very fluffy and has one floppy ear, which makes sense why the pup is so fluffy with a floppy ear too. And Jean Luc’s tail is thin, so if it were him and Bluey, I think the puppy’s tail wouldn’t be so fluffy. It also has a black patch on his head, but Jean Luc was drawn as navy blue. The black could’ve come from Bandit or Mackenzie

It's more then 90% Mckenzies because it is most logical, Barky boats (Literally about crushes and emotions) is its biggest evidence. I mean even the creators hinted towards Mckenzie and bluey. In also another episode, Winston's teases them saying, ooh bluey and mckenzie will marry, or something along those lines. And like the video says fruit bat too. Again these are all hints from LUDO itself. For Jean-Luc all we get is an episode of them playing together and meeting in their teenage years. Which isn't enough for us to assume anything. I'm not even a fan of bluey but the adorable pups pulled me in... I'd have to say just by thinking it's Makenzie, the pup shares so many more characteristics of Makenzie such as the tufts, the drooped yet still visible ear fluff, and the style of tail. Jean luc doesn't seem like it's even possible, as Jean luc was a reference to lifelong friends. The color pallette mixture of Bluey and Makenzie matches the pup exactly...

Is no one thinking about the fact it could be bingos kid? This might sound stupid, but listen there’s an explanation. In surprise we see bluey as in adult, and what’s supposed to be her kid. Well reasons I think it’s bingos is because, who does bingo look like? Aunty brandy, who does bluey sound like when she’s older? Aunty brandy. And since bingo looks like her aunt more than chillie, it could very well do the same for her kid, like it look more like her aunt then her mother like bingo. And who does the kid look like? Bluey! So it could very well be bingos child. It could be true! Because of all the features bluey has that aunt brandy did, like her voice, and pattern.

I have a feeling that Mackenzie is the father and is actively in a relationship with Bluey, but I like to think that Jean-Luc and Bluey are together and that Mackenzie had offered to help Bluey carry her child if Jean-Luc wasn’t physically able to do so himself. since Mackenzie is such a close and good friend to Bluey, I would think he’d do something like that for his best friend in a heartbeat.

Me personally I think it’s Jeun luc (can’t spell his name) their relationship is so strong and even if they didn’t know each other so so long their relationship was strong and I can see that they could be together and have that child

Thw child has more characteristics that point to Mackenzie, the ear for one though as pointed out by many people it doesn't mean anything since its a generic trait. And the child looks like Mackenzie when he was younger, fluffy. Jean luc and bluey were both pretty much smooth as children and besides bluey jean luc is still smooth. Though as some people have said, it might even be a character that hasn't appeared on the show, making neither the father. And it wouldn't be surprising if that was the route, the child does hold both characteristics from both possible Fathers, it wouldn't be surprising if the father was someone who looked similar to bitg Mackenzie and jean luc in terms of color and the type of fur they have

Any veterinarians or dog experts explain if a dogs folded ear is genetic? I know in humans attached ears are genetic but I’m not sure if a folded ear works for a dog
