"Children's Castles" is a trippy Christian-rock reflection on life and the universe ... Alabama was a Canadian progressive band formed around 1972 in Toronto by Buster Fykes, Hector McLean, Rick Knight, and Len Sembaluk. After the RCA reissue of the album appeared used copies of the debut album (printed on a heavier card stock than the reissue) would often appear in local used record stores with a "demonstration copy" sticker, and in later years with torn or missing front cover. Never reissued.
Their 1973 single "Song of Love" peaked on the RPM 100 Singles chart at No. 26 in June that year. A second single, "Highway Driving", reached No. 42 in August 1973 and was nominated for the Juno Award for Canadian Country Single of the year in 1974; the band also received a nomination the same year for Best Country Group.
