I thought my life would end sooner due to that I couldn't sleep or eat. I was crying every single day when I found out, my five years old diagnosis with Type 1. It was a nightmare still is. I didn't know that she would make it, but now she just turned 8 years old, and she is doing great, always smiling. Please don't worry, he will be fine. It would get easier, will God willing 🙏🏾 🙌🏽

I was diagnosed when I was 3. I remember my whole family and especially my mother constantly taking care of me and worrying for my wellbeing and she still is despite that I now am thriving with T1D. I have been living with T1D for 32 years now. It's a difficult road with ups and downs, constant counting carbs, inject yourself with a potential leathal dose , but once you realise how you can tame it you can do anything.

My son diagnosed at age 3. I also hate this disease. No sleep for the parents and the screaming for food every couple of minutes is driving me insane. He has it now for more than a year. Everyday/night to think will he survive. The DKA? Luckily no fits yet and what makes it difficult is that he cant tell me when he is feeling ill. Only parents with type 1 kids will know what we all are going thru. My heart still hurts and im still angry and sad. This will get better everyone tells me but geez its going to be 1 long ride until then

Diagnosed 30, years ago ,at the age of 7 and it's certainly not easy. But checking your glucose , and knowing how certain foods affect you is definitely helpful

Kids with diabetes can still do the same things a kid without diabetes can do! They just have to take an extra step first which includes checking the blood sugar and taking insulin.

@@mariana7802 My son experienced 3 symptoms i.e., Frequent Urination, Unquenched Thirst and Weight Loss. That is what got me worried and rushed him to the doctor. The Doctor asked for Medical Test which turned out positive.

Right now there is no cure to diabetis, the only treatments are, insulin, tablets, Sulfonylureas, Meglitinides, Metformin (Glucophage, Glumetza, others). Generally, metformin is the first medication prescribed for type 2 diabetes and many more, but what I’m saying is that it will take a long long long long time before a vaccine comes, but you can reverse diabetes 2 but diabetis 1 can not be reversed

@@ShilpaTotagi Nobody knows why it happens in children. It just happens. All they know is the body's immune system triggers that your Pancreas Beta cells that produce insulin are foreign invaders. Your immune system just starts killing them. Once the immune system has been programmed to attack those cells, it creates immunity towards them like they were a virus. There is no cure, only treatment through insulin injections and blood sugar management. Its a horrible disease.

Type 2 : Bad diet(processed and sugary treats) and sedentary lifestyle. It can be reversed. Dr. Ken Berry, Dr.Bern, on KZbin can explain it better.Diabetes is not passed to other generation through genes,instead, our bad habits and diet are.( is what they see,learn and continue doing :( SO it's like having a gun.We load it up and pull the trigger with bad eating choices.

yes I agree its not easy to explain children about what diagnosis they have and that they need to inject themselves so many times. I had barely accepted taking insulin injections on my own, then more painful was multiple times sugar monitoring. Then I read about blucon nightrider and how it converts FSL into an active CGM and so I was relieved that at least I will not have to bear monitoring pain.

It’s stressful cause when I’m in school before I eat lunch I test then when I’m don’t I test then I worry if I have to much or to little it’s a process it’s hard to have to sit out when you’re low or high it’s hard
