A gel only wash and go sounds awesome 😄! I'd love to eliminate the "finding products to mix with my gel" step 👌🏾💯!

Yes I tried the taliah waajid lock it gel for locs but it can be used to define curls… I just co washed and applied that gel… it doesn’t flake and has my hair super defined… it’s a staple so far

I’m def gonna try that trick of using a moisturizer/pomade instead of an oil 🧐 thank you 😁

I like the way this turned out. 😊👍🏼😊 I used to do gel-only styles all the time. For me, it was quick and effective.

I seen gel only and all I thought was Captain Crunch 🤣🤣🤣 I do love aunt Jackie’s curl boss that one is soooo good! I’ve yet to try the don’t shrink. Edit: I’m a gel girl, my hair thrives off gel. I think I I’ve done a gel only WNG, I can’t remember what I used. I think your hair is going to turn out good and defined, not sure about moisture though. But Wit! Your hair has really gotten so long. It grows so fast!

I use a leave in, then seal with an oil then use a light weight hair gel by Aveda! Spray with Design Essentials Avocado curl spray and it works great!

PS: my FAV ecostyler is the flaxseed but to be super honest, the difference between that & the olive oil ecostyler is minimal
@prettywitty775 жыл бұрын
In my hair it is a big difference! The Flaxseed one is so weak😩

All eco makes my hair feel dry when I do a wash and go. Flaxseed eco is my favorite but it doesn’t hold at all when I do puffs

How do you maintain your curls in between your wash days? Do you sleep with your hair in a pineapple? Oh yea. I trimmed my hair last week & I tried your shingling method & OMG! The trim makes a difference. Before I tried your shingling method before the trim & it was so ugly, but now my hair is popping.

The title of this video had me giggling. I predicted it would do a decent job with definition, but did not think it would cause a little dryness. I love how it turned out still..would u try gel-only with one of your fav gels?
@jhh60615 жыл бұрын
Beautiful as always! I did the opposite & only used the Shea Moisture coconut smoothie....nice but didnt last as long. Do u classify your hair in those 1,2,3,4abc categories? If so, which do you consider urself? THX!

People are going back to Blue Magic hair grease. My mom never used that, but, she used bergamot hair grease and I had waist length hair. Recently picked some up. It's not petroleum and mineral oil like Blue Magic. It is bergamot and olive oil, in a grease consistency. My mother was a beautician. So, and my hair was beautiful. Like the rest of my sisters, giving in a go again. The Blue Magic results on a twist our is incredible. You've got to see it too believe it. Our mother's weren't stupid or trying to harm us.

Client Inbox LLc I’ve gone back to blue Magic, it’s literally all I use lol, I don’t get why people call it grease though 🤔 on the container it says conditioner.. I’m not sure where grease came from but all I know it my hair is loving it, and so it my wallet lol
@clientinboxllc28655 жыл бұрын
@@ErickaLove I don't get the grease title either. But the twist outs and curl definition is unreal. I'm Colin Kaepernick thick hair. I went out with a braid out unbraided. It was windy, my hair moves and she gets real big on her own. I had to keep running my hands down her to take out some of the fluff. She gets scare white people big. I need some lubricant with some weight.

Same. I do use vaseline moxed with oils (is what my mom used back in the day) on my scalp and sometimes on my hair in the winter to seal. And my hair has grown tremendously in a year and my scalp feels great! I wish more peopoe realized u dnt need much but when they want definition and hold etc ofcourse u need more sometimes.
@clientinboxllc28655 жыл бұрын
@@MarauderEvans I know cause nothing worse than an itchy scalp. My hair needs something thicker to weigh her down. She gets big and fluffy fast. I have no problem with it.

I think the term grease came from Crisco being used on hair back in the day before actual hair grease or conditioner with near same consistency was made. The crisco was used prior to hot combing. (I was raised in grease era, not crisco era). Just some info I learned from my aunt who was a beautician before dementia.
