When I tell you my hair is identical to yours in terms of curl pattern and in what spots on my head- it’s IDENTICAL! The front of my hair is extremely low porosity as well. This is good to know moving forward when watching your hair product reviews. I love their scalp recipe (blue line), but I plan on trying the deep conditioner you used in this video.

Me too. I love this brand. I got the scalp line and the regular line. It’s very pricey but worth the price. I use it as me “special date” products. The scalp treatment shampoo with it’s pre-shampoo is the clarifying shampoo.

Wow everyone's hair is different for real. That cowash stripped my hair so much and left it dry and brittle. It took my secrets and my coin lol. It felt so good while it was in but when I washed it out, Lord. It says on the bottle after use you may not need to use a conditioner. Boy did I ever need a conditioner. As I am Co wash I find much more moisturising. Anyway tfs. 😊

I have 4b, hella dense, low porosity hair. I’ve only been able to try (read: afford) travel sizes of the deep conditioners - the hydrating one (blue label) and the moisturizing one in this video. I love both! I don’t have the language to explain it well, but these were the first DCs where my hair felt so healthy (or as healthy as a non-living thing can be lol) while feeling naked/free of product. Usually, it feels like a DC just did its job and now the leave-in has to do its job to get my hair where it needs to be, but with these my hair feels like it’s where it needs to be and the leave-in is just to ensure it stays that way. $30 for 8oz. of heaven is still steep for me, so I’m waiting and praying on another sale. * Oh, I also tried the styling soufflé (it’s a gel) on my son (4b, dense, haven’t checked his porosity yet) and it’s very lightweight, hydrating, it spreads easily and helps detangle without weighing the hair down or flaking.

Faye! Thank you for keeping it 💯 and I was so glad to know that you would review this line. I’m beginning to feel like Curlsmith has become the new DevaCurl in terms of hype, popularity and the PRICE TAG 😬. I did use both the moisture recipe & scalp recipe and while they are good products, I couldn’t justify the price point. Idk if I’m in the minority but I feel like there’s other hair care brands that make just as good if not better products than Curlsmith and budget friendly. Natural Haircare is already a serious undertaking, it shouldn’t cost big money to have quality hair.

I've never used their CO wash, but that deep quencher is the truth!! While you were applying it to your hair, I was saying, "wait til you heat it up! Wait to you heat it up!" 🙌🏾🙌🏾 Love that stuff! I Also love their Weightless Air Dry Cream Leave-in, but one must follow the directions and apply it on soaking wet hair. I tried it on damp hair and it felt totally weird, but on soaking wet hair 👍🏽. Also tried their Flexi Jelly. I don't usually use gel on my hair, and this particular one has level 7 hold. I was scared, but it made my curls POP. I don't think I could use anything stronger than that, but they do have a gel that has a stronger hold. I really like Curl Smith products, but I need to see more 4a-4c reps. Or maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

Chile! I’m so glad you did this! I remember asking for your honest review of these products a few months back because I have various versions of 3c and type 4 abc all over my head. This is a line I was dying to try so I bought sample sizes of the wash day and a full size of the oil in cream....and I was beyond happy with the moisture results. I am glad your sentiments validated my thoughts 😁. Now have Curl Smith send you the stylers line the In Shower Style Fixer and the curl Soufflé 😆.
