When I was a kid, my parents had a difficult time letting me figure things out on my own. They would see me try and want to "help" me by showing me how to do it. I now see myself doing the same thing when I watch videos like this. I know this is an experience that a lot of us can relate to, as we tend to buy games like this after seeing this. You have this feeling "I could do it way better" and you buy the game to satisfy that feeling. I love factorio, and I can see myself enjoying this game, but what I didn't realize I would experience is while watching this I thought about being a parent. What would you say to your child if they were trying to learn how to play this game (no offense NL :P). In my head I kept thinking "errmahgurd! Do it this way instead!" but then I started to quiet that voice and think the more I could resist those thoughts the better I would be as a parent in the future. Idk, just a thought I had. Thanks for showcasing this! Anything inspired by factorio definitely gets my attention!

I know it’s 3 years later, but this is a good comment. I’m a parent of two young kids, and it’s very difficult not to show them how to do every little thing, but then they don’t learn and develop for themselves. Frustrating in the moment, but ultimately very rewarding to see them grow and come up with their own solutions.
