Glad I saw this video in my suggestions. I'm nearby in oakville just learning to skate, not so many long waterfront stretches to skate here as the parks are small and the waterfront is mostly houses. Guess I'll be looking towards hamilton next year :)

Hey, wanted to ask….I think other viewers may be keen to hear as well. What’s your preferred hydration solution these days. That little hip belt thing is pretty cool, but are you still using it? Have you discovered something else.? I’m also keen on a bag/system to hold my skate tool, wallet, phone hydration, and other stuff like tissues, sunblock etc for longer sessions. Keen to hear your thoughts. Big fan of the channel, thanks for the vids.
@buzzkillblade21 күн бұрын
@@michaelmacdonald5792 hey :) I love to be hydrated but I hate carrying around excess weight lol. I always have electrolyte mix on me - whether it’s mio, gatorade packets, or hydration tablets which are best. It’s equally important to hydrate well hours before your session. I don’t usually start drinking water until about 30-45 min if I’m in good shape, so I’ll either carry a deflated empty bottle in my hip bag to fill at a fountain or grab a water bottle from a convenience store. I also keep a fruit to go or candy & a protein bar on me. Electrolytes + carbs + sugars + salt is all/everything you need. For bags, I got onto the hip bags during the summer and have never turned back. I can ditch a backpack entirely and just carry the essentials, or carry a small backpack if needed and still have my phone/wipes/tool easily accessible in the hip bag. I’ve DIYed a water bottle holder for the hip bag, taken from a modular tactical belt. It’s taken some work to get the bottle fit snug though. Feel free to ask me any questions as I am off from skating for the foreseeable future to rehab my knee :/

Thank you for your videos 😊. Id like to ask, do you feel the rollerblade crossfire sweatier than other similar skates/brands? Thank you!!
@buzzkillbladeАй бұрын
No problem! :P Sweatier? loll they're mild, skating with Intuition liners usually feels sweatier. But since the liners are integrated/not removable, it makes them more difficult to air out afterwards.

Powerful skating! Does carbon feel jittery on roads or pavements? I see a lot of folks saying plastic is more comortable city cruising.

@@heshamaj thanks! Yeah that’s accurate, they’re more responsive and you feel a lot more of the vibrations. I like them for urban for the extra speed and power, but yeah that’s definitely a thing

Which wheels do you use for when its raining?
@buzzkillblade2 ай бұрын
I try to avoid rain skating for the most part these days, but i just go with a softer wheel - have a set of undercover locos 86a. They’re strangely sticky and decent for rain. If you do a lot or anticipate a lot of rain skating id recommend actually rain wheels like powerdlide torrents, though I haven’t tried them myself.
@emilbondo66402 ай бұрын
@@buzzkillblade Thank you! Yeah I also try to avoid it, but I saw you skating in the rain in one of your other videos and you were still able to do all the cool stuff you do when the road is dry!
@ericbernardi81162 ай бұрын
Rollerblade Hydrogen are good for wet surface 😉 I don't recommend the Torrent wheels, nice grip actually but they don't last long, have a softer inner band and once that comes out the wheels become unskateable, no more grip at all 😣

Amazing stamina, would be in the sidewalk resting every few yards 😮💨
@johnviera388417 күн бұрын
i ride an Endless 90LR Trinity frame with the 3x100 setup. it’s so low. It’s the lowest ride height you can get with 100 mm wheels. So it’s my choice for balance of speed and agility

What are the benefits of 3 wheels over 4?
@buzzkillblade2 ай бұрын
For the most part, better for cruising. Higher speed with less effort, handles disturbances better, carries more momentum. You lose some acceleration and agility/control though. Even within 3 wheel setups, there's many different options that behave differently as well
