It might look and sound like I was kind of grumpy and negative in this one, but trust me, I was having fun and I liked some of the results. Was getting over a bad cold though so not as enthusiastic as usual.

Thanks for this, it was reassuring to see that even you can have a bad photoshoot day outdoors, taking photos you're not at all happy with, and that just doesn't work. Not every photo-walk has to produce stunning photographs. Thank you for sharing :)

Really nice video Tobias. I can’t believe how quiet Stockholm is at that time of the morning! Great pictures, thanks for sharing them.

Thanks! And yes, I couldnt believe it either. Such a stark contrast to what Stockholm was like at any other time.

Nice that you took a photo of those buildings (3rd photo in this vid) along the water at Liljeholmskajen, they are all torn down now. Not sure what's supposed to be built instead tho.

Hey Tobis, do you think the compression you get from real zoom is important and do stand at where you would let say a 75mm lens to take a portrait photo but take it with 28mm of the Leica Q3 but crop it to 75mm will get same compression as well? I mainly shoot as hobbyist and sometime do personal independent work with the best camera I can have, do you think Leica WE or Sony A7C/A7C ii with single 20 - 70mm which can crop to 210mm with 1 inch sensor size is better for me?

You were really making me nervous with those shots taken either over or very close to the water edge. Might I suggest a decent wrist strap or at least wrap a couple of coils of the neck strap around your wrist?

Hello Tobis - Thank you for another very well presented video accompanied by some lovely images. I have recently purchased the Q2 ( 2 days ago ). Your images have lovely rich colours. A question please. Those images with the lovely blue sky - Did you use highlight weighted metering ? Kind regards, Adam.

Hi, first of all: Thanks! Glad you like the images. And yes, I used highlight weighted metering for 90% of the images in this video. I find it much easier to recover the shadows in post with the Leica Q2. When the highlights are overexposed, they are pretty much gone. I also use iDR (auto). Makes it much easier to get a feeling of what the images will look like after the shadows have been lifted in post. Otherwise the images tend to just look underexposed. Good luck and enjoy your new camera! :)

Great video. Which action camera are you using on your chest? I noticed what looks like the DJI Action 2 lanyard around your neck... If that's what you're using, any advice on settings?
@TobisTings
@TobisTings Жыл бұрын
Yes, the DJI Action 2. The neck lanyard makes is super easy to use and I love how unobtrusive it is. Only dislike are the micro jitters when the shutter speed is slower than 1/200. As for settings (in this video): 4k/25/RS, Color D-Cinelike, Standard FOV, WB Auto, Exposure Auto (ISO 100-1600). Hope that helps :)

Nowadays I mostly just use (my own) presets and do some adjustments on the exposure and maybe tweak the white balance if needed. Sometimes I add a bit of vignetting if I feel like it suits the image. I rarely spend more than a minute on a photo though and like to keep it (somewhat) close to what it looked like.

@@TobisTings I am similar, I prefer to keep what I get as close to what I saw as possible. I would be interested to check out your presets if possible!

I thought the images were good, but the ongoing negativity was a bummer.

First of all: thanks! And yes, agreed. Sorry about all the negativity. My wife basically told me the same as you when I showed her this video. Usually its not like this. I was still suffering from a cold that plagued me almost the entire holiday. I didn't notice how negative my commentary was while I was out and about. Even though it might not sound like it I was absolutely enjoying my time in stockholm and this morning photo walk. Still, thanks for watching and I am glad that you liked the images. More positive vibes in the next video for sure!
