That dirt looks sooooo much easier to build with than clay
@justkeepdigging19564 жыл бұрын
Without doubt it’s easier to work with but it takes a lot of maintenance to keep everything running. Solid clay trails can hold up without being touched for ages if built right, plus it runs super fast in the summer.
@justcheckered5924 жыл бұрын

@@justkeepdigging1956 hey you might not see this since this is a month out, but curious why you guys dont use slurry/soiltac? feel like it would be a huge help with dirt that sandy!
@mountainbikingwithlogan61633 жыл бұрын
@@jayfil2323 like glue for the jumps? I’m assuming that’s what your talking about…. I have 2 answers it’s because once it’s bonded to the soil, and you need to move or reshape a lip or landing that dirt will no longer bond with the other dirt so then you have to take out the old dirt and bring in new dirt and the other one is simply just the cost of it all!

NR8 Trail vids, What type of shovels do you use, im a bike rider and a dirt jump maker myself just whats the right shovel for flattening and compacting
@justkeepdigging19564 жыл бұрын
We all use different shovels - I have a couple for different jobs. I personally like a long handled shovel with quite a large blade for digging and a shorter handled one with a smaller flatter head. The packing shovel needs to be sturdy and flat- it will wear in with time and get better and better as the blade is polished smooth through use. Hope that helps!

What shovel do you guys use? Any links?
@justkeepdigging19564 жыл бұрын
We all use different ones... some from fiskar, some from bulldog- but most of them are just random ones bought from garden centres and DIY stores. The most important thing is a nice flat head to pack the dirt nice and level.
