Note the excessive purple light on the actors’ long hair and sheer leggings. In these days, chroma was done with a green screen fabric lit by banks of Kino-Flo’s (fluorescent tubes) with green gels. If the foreground actor or object was too close to the fabric or the green Kino banks were too bright, green light spilled onto them, creating headaches during keying. To counter this, a DP could set up Kinos with purple gels to fill the green spill. If done incorrectly, the actor or object would now have purple lighting on them instead of green. The object is to remove any green reflection, not replace it. My experience was limited to smaller low budget shows, but I saw this remedy employed when the green screen wasn’t large enough (so the actor needed to get closer to it) cuz the green screen “stage” was simply the corner of a warehouse that also housed the sets. Or-and this last isn’t mutually exclusive-the crew were mooks. The creators of Gothos, especially costuming, could’ve solved this problem beforehand by simply doing test shoots of the actors and costuming and finding that, for example, using sheer or light color leggings on the ladies of the night picked up the green Kino blaze, then changed the costume to darker nylons. Small point but my eye keeps catching on it.

Gothos is a 1997 FMV video game developed by Mindmeld Multimedia and published by Microforum International. Plot and gameplay Gothos is an interactive mystery adventure on three CDs. The player is a vampire who is sent to investigate the unearthing of the ancient Scrolls of the First Blood. Critical reception Tap Repeatedly thought the game was "abysmal and vapid", though recommended it as a hate-playing experience.[1] Metzomagic didn't think it was a good game, but felt that it would appeal to "shock horror" fans.[2] This. "I'm getting LARP vibes." Same. I can't shake the feeling we just walked in on a Vampire: The Masquerade LARP that we weren't invited to. "Kind of think we need a Batman vs Vampires movie." Actually exists, funnily enough. Aside from those graphic novels where Batman fights Dracula and then becomes a vampire himself, there was a movie spun off from "The Batman", an animated series that ran a few years back. Which is also about Batman facing off against Dracula. There's a lot of Batman vs Dracula, now that I think about it.

19:01 This is why I loved Outer Wilds so much. It gives you a short tutorial (And even THEN, you can still miss some of the tutorial bits), and then it just throws you into an entire solar system with complete freedom to explore, discover things, miss out on other things, and figure out how to find those things later. And the best part is that you can choose to activate the endgame sequence as early as you want, provided you know how. NOTHING in Outer Wilds is something you have to unlock conventionally, every single area is available to explore from the start of the game and all you need is the information on how to get there. That's all I'm going to say about the game, if you haven't played it yet, you really need to.

My Dad(the museum guard) literally made this game. :D at 25:03 you said Gothos is without a Doubt... You would be very wrong. ;) It's all filmed in Ottawa Canada. The bar is Zappod Beeblebrox music venue. Much of the photography is downtown Ottawa. Sparks Street should be very identifiable to some. @maddockemerson4603 Жыл бұрын
25:40 Since this video came out, I’ve figured out part of what’s odd about this girl’s performance, because I had a similar problem with the vampire costume I assembled for Halloween. She’s wearing custom-fit fangs and didn’t shave down the thermoplastic that holds them to her real teeth. This is giving her a bit of a lisp. You’ll notice a lot of half-formed consonants with a slight splashy sound, this is why. I don’t blame her for not taking the time to trim the stuff down because it’s really difficult to get it right; cut too much and the fangs don’t stay in well enough and you have to start over from melting the plastic; don’t cut enough and you still have a lisp. But you’d think when it came time to film, either the actress or the director would notice the lisp and decide to take the fangs out unless they need a close-up of her teeth. It’s not like most viewers would notice, and plus you could say that some vampires have shapeshifting or glamoured or retractable fangs so they look human most of the time. Instead somebody here was too dedicated to keeping this character in costume even if it damaged the performance, and nobody had the awareness and will to tell them why that was a bad idea. Well, that’s only one reason this acting is bad, but yeah, there ya go.
@maddockemerson4603 Жыл бұрын
Okay, after finishing the video, it’s way more obvious on some characters, but it doesn’t hit the same level of awkwardness. The archaeologist seems like he’s wearing those crappy rubber fangs from a dollar store, that’s downright comical.
