I just feel free when I listen to Chillhop. Maybe its growth. It's just a different perspective. Probably the best Essentials to date for me. Although Winter 2018 was magical too. Anytime you got Aso and Melodiesinfonie following each other, it's going to be eclectic. Chillhop music has changed my life. The purest major elements of hip hop. Jazz and beats. Perfect union. Go into cool & smooth jazz during Christmas then. "Chet Baker sings" is a good album around that period as well. Gerry Mulligan's "Night lights" is also great amongst many many others... Grant Green's "Idle moments", Stanley Turrentine's "Blue hour" etc. Check them out.

I always look forward to the release of seasonal ChillHop mixes. The vibe, the mood, the groove for each Season is integrated to each mix. Particularly the Winter Mix has consistency in curating beats for reflection over the past year.
