I think it was on purpose. There was a "gradation" to show that women power is just as valid as men power, women are strong( or even stronger than men in some senses) and they don't need to be submissive to the male figure and patriarchy to exist.

Hecate’s cult lasted way more than Asherah’s, somehow coexisting alongside popular goddesses like Artemis, Demeter, Persephone, Rhea (Cybele), etc. and even worshipped alongside Zeus, Hermes, Apollo and Dionysus. Even today, Hecate’s popularity outlives Asherah’s.

I only dislike the fact that they banished the male witches from the coven, basically stating that male witches can’t worship Hecate and draw power from her. Which is completely wrong, women have a stronger connection to Hecate, but men can still work with her and draw strength from her!

Example, of all the power that exist, they used childbirth...which is just pain, no matter how painful. But demons should be able to feel or like pain? not light or fire but pain. Earlier they also said "fighting is the way of man" but erm..i pretty sure man woman, animals and insects all fight. There are man who are "embrace the flow" type as well. The shows basically make it male vs female. There are also a part where it says Caliban castrated himself makes him a good man. Imagine the gender were treated in the reverse in this show. It would not last one episode.
