*Aphasia* a·pha·sia: loss of ability to understand or express verbal communication or speech, caused by brain trauma I wonder what Fij was referring to here... any ideas, guys? EDIT: I think I figured it out. The lyrics are gibberish for the most part, but still comforting and melodic. There's only one line that's audibly clear: "with you in my arms" and it is repeated multiple times throughout the song. I imagine this: A patient diagnosed with Aphasia is receiving care in a special home/mental hospital, but their lover/spouse/partner visits them every day and talks to them despite the inability for communication to occur. Although this is obviously a huge barrier, a small ray of emotion shines through and the mutual feeling of love is shared between the two, as it was before the accident that caused the disorder. Despite the lack of verbal communication, the connection that these two people have cannot be severed. It's a love song. Damnit Fij, I love you too but you drive me insane.

I don't think anyone is going to see this but I hope I'm not the only one who felt like this song was special at the time. In a time back when I was in middle school, I really enjoyed the popular artists on this channel like Braken and Pegboard Nerds. But when this vid came out, it felt so different. Fijiwiji was on entirely different wavelength from a lot of the artists here on Monstercat. The entransic vibes the song gave out was so different at the time, although artists like Direct were also doing chillout, Fijiwiji was something more special to me IMO. His music was a weird but good corner in Monstercat and I truly do cherish what he did back then. It's kinda wacky coming back here after half a decade and I expect to come back here another half a decade later but who ever is reading this, thanks ig lol

Mr FijiWiji just has this incredible warmth and space to his sound that scratches some incredibly deep parts of my brain, moreso than possibly every other artist on this label. This is that beautiful threshold where the sound design becomes brushstrokes on an aural canvas rather than an adrenaline formula. A profoundly beautiful and signature expression, I'm thrilled he's still releasing music.

Looking back, almost every single Monstercat video realesed around the time of this song had to have some sort of hard and intense bassdrop, which was hype at the time, but looking back, they haven't aged too well. I'd argue that the Fijiwiji's music is more timeless. In my experience, when I listen to Fijiwiji's older songs like this song, it doesn't remind me of the 2013 KZbin MLG, COD/Minecraft era. Rather, I'm reminded of the times I had to take a step back and REALLY listen to Fijiwiji's songs, instead of skipping all the way to the bass drop for that 10 second adrenaline rush. I guess that's why I'm back here after a year later, because Fijiwiji made a short term fad I was interested in, into something that I can truely appreciate as I get older.

I hear ''Get away, in my arms''. Id take that as like get away from life and all the stress meaning being held in this persons arms is very comforting. Also with the title,This may be a sick patient at the hospital but it may be someone suffering from a very deep depression and those words just really stick to them and it kind of sets off emotions/memorys because this person clearly comforts whoever. So the reason they cant ''hear'' much of anything is because they are so depressed,life is kind of just flying by and they arnt taking in any of it because they're so worn down and sad but those 5 words really sort of spark or light them up because its so comforting and safe.

***** Yeah, I'm not really a big fan of his style. I loved One Look which had more of a disco style, but SWF's music doesn't really sound interesting. It's more like indie which I find pretty boring in general. My sister is into indie bands and my opinion in general is that they might be good if their music had more substance to it.
