Hä, Spannung und Auflösung ist ein Grundprinzip unserer westlichen Musik. Deswegen gibt es ja auch Leittöne. Gewagt das genau mit Abba in Verbindung zu bringen. Das Geheimnis von ABBA ist dass sie wahnsinnig gute Melodien gepaart mit grandiosen Songwirting perfektioniert haben. Für ne Sext und None das Wort Overreach und für den Leitton Underreach zu verwenden ist auch etwas reißerisch.

Could be it's depending on ABBA's degree of iconicity when it comes to melody, chord progression etc.. Today's musical street prostitutes mostly are running short of contours, sounding interchangeable. As for me, I'm avoiding faceless droning.

Another helpless try to explain the magic of ABBA. They never had a "secret", they have talent, they absolutely love music and they know how to make these heavenly voices shine like stars (with a little help from Michael B. Tretow). You can be sure, Benny would laugh for hours if you tell him about overreach and underreach...ridiculous.
