Chilly: Most of us fall into the Tik Tok hole. Honestly, as someone who doesn't have Tik Tok, I prefer the Pinterest and Reddit holes. As for the enemies to lovers trope, I have a few favorite books like that. My favorite is Throne of Glass. The main character has a lot of enemies and some of them just happen to turn into lovers. It's a commonality in this series for two love interests to hate each other first. I honestly didn't think about this until just now.

I read the first half of the first book and I'm fairly convinced that there's a very specific story about what happened. The author initially wrote Throne of Glass when they were 13-17 years old. It was initially a really crappy fanfic putting themselves into some TV show or whatever. Eventually they came back to it in their early 20s because they were running out of ideas and needed to throw out a shitpost in order to be recognized by at least in the highschool demographic. But, before they did, they tweaked it enough so it didn't read as much like a fanfic (but failed) and remixed whatever was in their show so that it wasn't plagiarism.

@@pogfection787 I heard the original story behind the story and you make it sound a lot crappier than it actually was. She was around 16 when she wrote the original story (she also worked on it as she went on through college I think) and it was really all for fun. She wrote it on some fanfic site initially, partially basing it on the tale of Cinderella. (I wouldn't consider that fanfiction as people write retellings of fairytales all the time.) She also got ideas from other stories she's read growing up, but that's what writers do. We learn from other writers and get inspired by their ideas. Heck, her world has even inspired me. She did a whole rewrite of her story, adding new characters, adding new depths to the other characters, and even created a new ending. (In the original story from the fanfic site, the main character marries the prince that she was made champion of. She doesn't marry him in the books.) Everyone's entitled to their own opinions and interpretations on writing but, as someone who read all eight books in the series, I enjoy it. And she didn't run out of ideas. Her name is Sarah J Maas and if you check out her website, she's not even short on ideas. Another popular series she's written is A Court of Thorns and Roses. I haven't read it since it isn't my style as much, but it's one of her more popular series. This was just the project that got her to where she is as a writer. It's what gave her that start with the company she published under. I find it all inspiring, really.

Ok but if you need a new series I 1000% recommend Danganronpa if you haven’t seen it already it’s a visual novel so unless your watching a play through you can’t watch while you work but every game has such a fulfilling and surprisingly ending (in my opinion). Also just remembered that there’s even an anime version of the first game that you could watch while you work I guess 😂
