Not sure how I just found this channel. I grew up in Cleveland going to hardcore shows in the late 90's, the phantasy, peabodys, the grog shop etc. Seeing bands like Skipline and Ascension eventually forming to become Chimaira and seeing how big you guys got was surreal. I was at Skiplines last show which Chimaira also played!

Hell yeah man! this is perfect!!! Rob, I've always loved your solos. Am learning major scales, modes, pentatonics, etc... mostly on the blues end. Can you do a vid on how you evolved? what scales you tend to use? I'd like to start trying to solo to some metal. I've always loved your solo's as they tend to hit those off notes at the right time.
@RobArnoldWorld2 ай бұрын
Hey I appreciate that man! I'll definitely consider making some soloing lesson videos. But in the meantime, here's my secret... When I was young, I got the Metallica and Megadeth tab books, and learned as many Kirk Hammett and Dave Mustaine solo's as I could. Doing this is what primarily shaped my entire soling style and ability!

ROB!!1 I’ve been looking everywhere online trying to find a clear answer and coming up only frustrated so I thought I’d ask you 🙏. I’m trying to figure out a power amp to buy to use for either an axefx/pod hd500 into my 300 watt 16 ohm Peavey xxl 4x12 slant cab. You use a SD power stage 170 right? Do you think that’d be enough power to have my 16 ohm 300 watt cab be loud enough? I’m sure it would be for cab mic’d gigs, but I’m worried I won’t get loud enough for unmic’d band practices
@RobArnoldWorld2 ай бұрын
I'm using the Powerstage 200, and it's been fine for me so far! I was worried as well, that it might not be enough to power my cab at full band rehearsal volumes, but it did just fine! I do worry however, that it would not be able to power a full stack, which is a bummer. But then again, I haven't tried powering more than one cab.
