These dudes have lives with other shit going on now. I could see them doing like 4-5 festivals, but thats about it. Dont get me wrong, i would love for them to tour again, i only got to see them once, think it was with KsE, Suicide Silence and someone else.

I saw Matt playing bass years and years ago in my tiny city in Australia with Fear Factory which was a super rare show for our town and I was arguably more excited to see Matt in person because of my Chimaira fandom days than actually watching FF haha. So cool to see the Chimaira cogs turning once again.

The 6505 with crackling issues is most likely a preamp tube that needs to be changed.

I used to have a 6505+ Combo (Chinese built), but the bridge rectifier diodes packed up on it which is common fault. Then I bought a 6505MH, which also packed up with faulty tubes. It's best imo to look for a USA made 6505 or the older 5150 if you can find and afford one 🤘

So, one of my most favourite bands are completely back! And you are back in golden line-up! Incredible! For me this is perhaps the main musical event of this year! Chimaira is life! P.S. Rob, wait, you took two six-string guitars for this session, Matt took one six-string guitar, one seven-string. How Matt's seven-string guitar tuned? I can't remember any Chimaira song you and him (or Jason) played on guitars with different numbers of strings.

Both Jim and I are using pitch shorting technology which allows us to play on 6 strings in any tuning!

I remember playing a Rusty Cooley sig Dean a long time ago, same body as Matt's guitars. The cutaway is ridiculously shaved up. One of the most accessible guitars I've played on higher frets.
