I have played a ton of Branded Chimera over the past 8 weeks or so. I'm going to explain why your list is the best one I've seen thus far: - Deck is 40 cards. (Even though opening a hand of Berfomet, Albaz and Edge Imp going first is probably a loss.) - You have given up on Super Poly to allow for additional summons outside of Fusion Monsters. It's a trade off. The Super Poly is simply amazing against decks like Yubel and Tenpai. The flexibility into Lars, Chaos Angel and Muck Racker gives you a better overall match-up against more decks and prevents you from automatically losing to Dimensional Barrier. - 2 Edge Imp Chain 3 Frightfur 2 Polymerization is the correct ratio. You absolutely can brick on multiple Edge Imp Chains and as good as the +2 is, its not worth the risk and I wish I had realized that sooner. Maybe in a 60 card pile its less of a problem. - The single Albaz is risky as if its opened in the hand, the Branded Fusions are basically useless for the rest of the duel. But it worked out for you as you've had the best performance I've seen so far with the deck in recent times. - The strategy to unbrick your hand by going into Garura then Magnum the Reliever for a +2 hard draw is amazing and I wish I had the space for Magnum in my list. Even though you are a very good player and were able to pilot the deck exceptionally well, it is not the best variant of Chimera as I still think Pure is better overall and just gets even better after Infinite Forbidden. I also think the Pure version is more forgiving and easier to play, while the Branded version is more "explosive" by having Branded Fusion as a starter. But the deck does brick, it is a fact of life for us who play this deck. Such an excellent performance, thank you for sharing a 40 card build, something I haven't seen anywhere.

@@dougvillatoro4428 The new Illusion Link monster has a lot of potential and is easy to bring out. There is also a new Illusion XYZ monster that is also easy to bring out. Pure is already inherently better because it doesn't auto lose to Dimensional Barrier. Almost all Branded Chimera decks run upwards of 14 Fusions, most max out of the Extra Deck at 15. This is the first list I've seen top where there were 3 or more Extra Deck Monsters that weren't fusions. Part of the reason he was able to do so well is that he wasn't running a mono-Extra Deck of solely Fusions. The deck just loses that badly to Dimensional Barrier and Simul Archfiends if you don't have other options you can go into.

if talent representing a cheeky double hand rip with the level 6 chimera fusion and droplet being a discard outlet + clearing a path for the level 8 chimera fusion for free going second doesn't sell anyone on board breakers > hand traps in branded chimera, on top of all of your other points, then i think people just don't understand modern deckbuilding

Vielen, vielen, vielen Dank!😊 Könntet ihr noch was zu euren Siding Pattern sagen? 10 Karten rein ist schon echt viel... Was geht alles raus für 3 Dark Ruler, 3 Evenly, 2 Lightning, 2 Thrust? Habe am Wochenende bei den Nationals Diabellze in Quarter Century Rare gezogen und später Kha zugeschaut, wie er mit dem Deck zerstört hat. Bin so gehyped von dem Deck und will es unbedingt spielen😂 Nochmal vielen Dank für die Liste!

you dont summon mirrorjade, you can summon rindbrumm using albaz and gazelle, which triggers gazelles effect to add an illusion monster, which is all you need to get your chimera combo started

Why BF over Meldodius or Horus? Just because it’s a smaller package?

BF adds three more chimera starters. Melodious or horus makes the ceiling higher, but does nothing for the consistency of doing chimera plays. Whether that's a worthy tradeoff or not is up for debate.

Das Auge macht nicht wirklich was. Books oder enemy controller erfüllen den Zweck der Karte besser, weil die auch im eigenen turn funktionieren. Du musst deine Illusions nicht gegen battle destruction schützen, weil die das eh alle haben. Die Trugbild-Spiegelkraft ist auch nur eine Wiedergeburt mit delay. Wenn du einen bounce Effekt haben willst, geh lieber für Zwangsevakuierungsgerät oder geh direkt für quick spells wie enemy controller oder book of moon/eclipse, die ähnlich effektiv vom Effekt sind, aber vielseitiger, was die Bedingungen zur Aktivierung angeht

Your monsters are face down so they are no longer negated by skill drain

And it won't always prevent puppet lock, just in some cases when they haven't managed to get the full setup on their turn but need to continue to combo more on your turn. Sometimes flipping their board face down stops them😊

For puppet lock you book Albion at some point before they get to summon puppet. For skill drain flipping face-down dodges that.

Isn't it on draw phase turn player prio activate book, sanctifier can respond but the puppet gets summoned than immediately booked so it cannot activate its lingering effect.
