Chimney Canyon Trail Hardest trail on Sandia

The Chimney Trail is a trail in the Sandia Mountains. This is an unofficial trail with no signs, but it is a well defined established trail. The Chimney intersects the La Luz trail, and is about 1.75 miles in length. The trail will climb about 2000 feet through a canyon, and then up the Chimney chute to the Aspen grove. The trail is very steep and requires some rock scrambling, but you will have solitude since most people dont know about the trail.
