I grew up in Beijing around the late 90s and early 2000s. Around that time I had an unhealthy obsession with trains, trolley, and busses. Yeah these red bus/blue trolley bus were a common sight in the 90s Beijing. They phased out around 2001 with a green/red/yellow busses. Also at 12:06 - there's a kid asking about why the car wheels are round, and what if car wheels are square. Sounds like some sort of silly question I would ask. What if that was me?!? 😳

The mainland of the yesteryear was a better place once you really put your head into it. While it was more impoverished, you had a chance at it, there was less regulation, less rules, and you could set up shop with a little less of problem. There wasn't that bizarre control there is today because the Mainland was a willing place at the time, open, hungry, looking for opportunity with a generation of people who really where out there to do something, because you had to, otherwise you would starve. Now is all rules, bloats of regulations and constraint with a ruler people loathe. I wouldn't want the Mainland of today any day, even if the China of the late 20th century was considered poor or whatnot, there where things to do and grow with for entrepreneur-minded individuals.

Much less rules compared with USA and other western countries. I was in Beijing in 1997, in that times not such traffic, around 12 million population, today Beijing 23 millions population, over 7 million cars , no rules no Order , at least Beijing won’t give you a ticket after midnight like San Francisco did
