Continuing their tour through China the party arrives at the Kunming lake. Kunming being the capital of Yunnan province, which is in southwestern China and borders on Burma, Laos and Vietnam.

"Kunming lake" is not "Kunming City". Kunming Lake is the name of the lake of the the summer palace in Beijing.
