If Taiwan becomes part of main China , USA will stop technology investment in it Or rather sanction it ...Present Taiwan is best suited for China !! All military drills are just to show that Taiwan is still Taiwan & not China so that USA keep pouring all tech investment in it and China continue getting it indirectly . If tomorrow USA puts sanction on china Or India bans certain items from China, it can use Taiwan to do business indirectly .Trade between Taiwan & china is nearly 400 billion per yr (More than combined Indian trade with five top countries).
