I have been on China Business Trip for several weekends in a row, so I made a vlog out of my business traveling. After Shenzhen I travelled to Hong Kong and Xiong'An. Ep 42⬇See more below⬇
Past weeks I have not been uploading many videos since I have been busy traveling for work. This video is second one in the vlog series of China business trip. My first business trip travel destination was Shenzhen, China. Shenzhen is a city located next to Hong Kong, in Southern China. After Shenzhen I was supposed to travel to Hong Kong but I missed my train and I ended up staying in a country club in the outskirts of Shenzhen. These random things happen only in China, haha!
After Shenzhen I traveled by train to Hong Kong which is just cross the border. I stayed two nights in Hong Kong. Then, the next weekend I traveled to Xiong'An, which is located in Hebei province. It is a new city which is still under construction. In the future, Xiong'An is supposed to be a green city. Xiong'An is located very close to Beijing, just a couple of hours drive from Beijing.
Work in China has been really interesting by far as life in China in general. These travels are my first business trips in China and I am very excited to travel for work. The downside of business trips, especially if you have to travel during the weekends, is that you don't get to rest.
Business trips can also be a good chance to learn Chinese. During these past weeks of traveling, I have noticed that many people I meet through work do not speak English or prefer speaking Chinese. I am also very happy to practice my Chinese while traveling for business.

People in Hong Kong speak Cantonese. But I thought since the HK handover, many Hong Kongers are have learned to speak Mandarin. I guess it is the younger generation that are the ones who have to learn Mandarin. Your Mandarin is good and clear enough to be understood by the Chinese including us here in Malaysia. In fact, I find your spoken Mandarin endearing. Beautiful hotel room with the huge Chinese painting background.

Yea, best way to get by in Hong Kong would be to speak Cantonese. Hehe, thanks 🙈

I was just watching one of your videos from last year and now I feel super inspired to keep up my language studies! I’m currently learning German in school but I’m trying to learn Chinese and Japanese outside of school because my school doesn’t have classes for those :( Anyway, keep up the good work! :D 再见! さよなら! Hello Kaisa, I recently came across your video blogs. I am wondering if you are still living and working in Beijing? I will be moving to Beijing in January 2020 and I would love to meet you and potentially become friends. You seem like a really genuine and kind young woman and Genuine women are hard to find these days. It is especially difficult to make true friendships in adulthood and I would welcome the opportunity to get to know you. If you are interested, please message me. I wasn't able to find a place on your site to private message you... but if this is possible on youtube that would be great. Best Wishes. Graciously, Megan Lindsey Johnson

Ah~~Eastern Asia work ethics, followed by your 6 languages amazing video, I know can confirm your Chinese was much much improved! Very well done! Btw I spent few summers in Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Shenzhen etc., the pearl harbour area, some cities for example Hong Kong is just too big, drivers from Kowloon perhaps don't know Yuen Long that well. But I know exactly how you feel lost when you on taxi:( and fyi, Hong Kong people speak their own styles of either Cantonese, Mandarin and English, so not your faults! Hope you have a better work-life balance, and I am now checking your more recent videos, so perhaps you already have, again!

We usually speck Cantonese and a bit of English due to Hong Kong was former owned by England. HK people prefer not to hear Chinese speakers (In a mainland Chinese accent) due to many reasons. I still like your video, be safe where you going travelling :)
