I'm in Beijing. When you enter the city, search for the wechat mini program: Beijing Health Kit (in English). Otherwise, scan the code specifically for foreigners. I don't think you have to be quarantined in Beijing once you have been quarantined for 14 days in China. Anyway, there are some places that you cannot enter without the Beijing Health Kit (green code which proves you have been in Beijing for 14 days). I went to Tianjin to travel and upon returning to Beijing, I found out that my code turned grey which gave me a lot of grief, although if you explain to the authorities and guards, they might let you pass. Otherwise, you gotta wait out the 14 days for your code to turn green. Unsaid rule is: they don't want foreigners running around.
@kaisaa43184 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing! I also had a grey code after coming back from Shanghai although it should be green. I am trying to figure out how to get it back to green. 😓

Who said Chinese men can’t wear green hat? Green is basic color used in PLA army. Just a man is called greenback turtle if got cheated by his wife, but this is not equal to a guy puts on a actual green hat.

That was a menu that they loosely followed. If you look carefully, there are dates above each meal set, so they served those meals on those days. We could not choose the food from the menu, they served what was marked for each day.

Yeah, but in these times, which hotel owners would really want quarantine business from foreign arrivals? And it's not like they can set their own prices. Even hotel staff would be hard to employ!
@lvjinbin284 жыл бұрын
You're not lucky because when visitors entered China on March they got quanrantined at home, but some didn't follow rules and escaped from home. then Chinese government said everyone must get quanratined at hotel, but it's free food, free hotel and free test and treatment. after millions of people flooding into China, there's no enough hotels for too many people, then Chinese government said food and hotel is not free anymore, and international flights got limited like 'one week-one country-one airline' policy. now You're still lucky because many people even Chinese nationals in overseas can't fly back because ticket is too expensive now. 11 million Wuhan people got quarantined more than 70 days, 1.3 billion Chinese got grounded at home for 1 month, China has done more than 20 million tests and carry on most strict quarantine policy but there's still some cases infected, bad news is that a city in Jilin province got locked down again. but you will be free and safe in Shanghai after 14 days.

The Green hat thing is fine( not saying cheating is okay or anything), I mean it is not that big of a deal if you guys aren't in China. I think people asked you because you can speak Chinese which one would assume that you'd know some of the funny Chinese culture ( or perhaps your husband would explain to you). So don't take it to heart, I don't think anyone who asked are in any way thinking that you cheats on your husband or anything, I think that they are most likely just thinking that it is funny & curious about why. As long as you don't feel offended, or take it to the heart, and no disrespect to the other's cultural stuff. They could be pretty fun. Or fun to encounter.

@@kaisaa4318 👌. Peoples are curious ( after all we are coming from different background and culture), and when you can speak the language or even became a 洋媳妇, some may assume that you'd know ( & such mindset is considerably normal, I'd say). My kids in the future will be half Chinese. But having grown up in Finland I still consider myself a Finn and in that sense I am a foreigner in China.
